The chinese footage has an edited HP bar in the second trailer. At the same time it has the same base damage across all fights in that trailer. They likely teleported from world 4 back into the other worlds to record footage.

Before world 3 and to some degree into world 3 you have 10 base damage. The story is also a bit weird as there's some weird "intermission" before you really go into world 3, so yeah, this is odd.

Bosses seem to ignore base damage (implying yet again that you don't get to level your base damage). If you hit the weakspot, a special combo animation plays. It also ignores your weapon damage then.
