Focusly is a productivity app that helps users block distracting apps during focus sessions and scheduled time windows. All data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
We query the list of installed apps on your device so you can select which apps to block. This list is never transmitted off your device — it is only displayed in the in-app picker.
Focusly uses Android's Accessibility Service solely to detect which app is currently in the foreground. When you open a blocked app during an active focus session or schedule shield, the service redirects you to a focus reminder screen. We do not read screen content, text inputs, passwords, messages, or any other on-screen data.
We access usage statistics to identify when a distracting app is opened. This data is processed locally and never leaves your device.
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No location data
- No contacts or call logs
- No photos, files, or media
- No browsing history
- No keystroke or screen content data
- No advertising identifiers
- No analytics or crash reporting sent to external servers
All app data — your focus session history, shield schedules, blocked app selections, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences and a local SQLite database. There is no cloud sync, no user accounts, and no server-side storage.
Focusly does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with third parties.
Focusly does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not collect information from any user.
