Ever wanted to work on a high profile project that will serve millions of users? BBC News' Politics team is looking for an experienced developer to join their US Elections project.
The role requires strong front-end skills as well as some server-side experience. The role will involve creating a highly visual US Elections proposition: graphs, data tables, live updates and other components and you will be responsible for the entire build and deployment lifecycle.

- Client-side build tools such as: Grunt (most desirable), Gulp, Broccoli
- Node.js
- Advanced experience in writing modular, scalable, and testable Javascript.
- Use of Javascript unit testing frameworks such as: Jasmine (preferred), Qunit, etc
- experience of writing ES6
- advanced cross browser development and testing. Including IE 9+

- Semantic markup
- OO programming
- Server side development with Ruby or PHP
- AWS cloud development and deployment
- Front-end performance optimisations

- experience in D3.js (or similar data visualisation libraries)
- experience of creating data visualisations for web
