DTR First Partner Project

1. Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):

We hope to meet the lesson objectives and develop good pairing skills. We'll know that we are successful if we reach proficient in all of the categories.

2. Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):

Emily: responsible & playful Vinton: responsible & (parent type). Collaboration style, open communication & equal work.

3. How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:

Because we are both responsible we can rely on each other to do the work and be honest if we fall behind.

4. Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):

Maintaining balanced organization of time. Be on the same page.

5. Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):

We'll communicate everyday via class/slack/work time.

6. Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

Become skilled in JavaScript and pairing.

7. Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):

Undecided

8. Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):

Hopefully have equal git workflow and successful code merging.

9. Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

Be honest, open, and kind.

10. Project management tools we will use:

  • Google Calander
  • Slack
  • Github

Day 1 Agenda:

Take a look at flexbox, grid, and Javascript overnight to get ideas on how to begin approaching the project.

This is a good start; I appreciate that you considered your relating styles! As you continue through the project, I would encourage you to discuss more details on how you'll split up the workload between the both of you. Nice work!
