Project Description: | |
• The Service Assurance Engineer will work as part of a 7x24 team providing Tier 2 advanced technical support for Hosted Mobility Applications such as Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Enterprise Application Platform (MEAP) and other mobile application solutions. | |
Job Description: | |
• The Service Assurance Engineer will perform end-to-end technical troubleshooting as well as collaborate with other internal and external support teams in the resolution of post-implementation technical issues not being resolved by the Tier I Care teams. | |
• Normal operations require leadership in managing critical issues; regularly communicating with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders; training on product features; and providing on call support. Must be strong analytical thinker with ability to quickly and accurately assess complex technical situations, determine root cause and resolution, and identify potential work-around options. | |
• The Service Assurance Engineer will be responsible for proactive and reactive fault management of hosted mobile applications such as MDM and MEAP. This includes alarm validation, troubleshooting, ticket documentation and escalation, monitoring change management, outage reporting and management, and root cause analysis. | |
• The Service Assurance Engineer will be responsible for Change Management: prior to moving to production, scheduling, production implementation, monitoring and back out plans. | |
• Maintain and regularly update a Knowledge Base to assist Tier I Care teams to resolve issues at first point of contact. The knowledge based shall include troubleshooting tips & tricks, frequently asked questions, etc. | |
• The Service Assurance Engineer shall strive to achieve established Service Level Objectives in responsiveness, updates and resolution of technical issues. | |
• On-call and shift work may be required. | |

ASSIGNMENT SKILLS/EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: | |
To be considered qualified for this position, the candidate must: | |
• Have a strong working knowledge of wireless technologies, application/software support, IP routing, and LAN infrastructure | |
• HANDS ON EXPERIENCE IN advanced troubleshooting skills, i.e., the ability to quickly and accurately assess complex technical issues and chart a path to resolution | |
• Demonstrated experience to lead and manage non-technical aspects of critical issue resolution, e.g., | |
- communication with various stakeholders (technical teams, vendors, customer helpdesk, etc.) | |
- creation and delivery of knowledge artifacts and training materials | |
- creation and delivery of root cause analysis documentation | |
• Understand and be able to lead Change Management activities, including developing a test/verification plan for new software releases | |
• Be available for scheduled on-call support. | |
Can didate must be aware and willing to accept that this is a 24/7 365 assignment. Requires Flexibility | |
