Revert New Discord Layout

The original snippet no longer works!

On 02/09/2024 at around 8pm UTC, Discord flipped an experiment (2023-09_mobile_redesign_override_toggles) which ignores the layout toggle that this script relied on.

If you want to continue using the old layout, you can either use a modded mobile client (such as Vendetta) to disable that experiment, or downgrade to an old version of the app.

Method 1 - Downgrading (Android)

Tip

Use this one if you want a fast, beginner-friendly solution and don't mind using a version from November 2023

  1. Download version 205.15 of Discord mobile app from ApkMirror

Jellyfin API Authorization

Jellyfin API Authorization

To start using the Jellyfin API, authorization is probably the first thing you'll need to do. Jellyfin's authorization options can be a bit confusing because there are a lot of deprecated options.

Generally there are three ways to authenticate: no authorization, user authorization with an access token or authorization with an API key. The first way is easy, just do nothing. But most often you'll need to use either the access token or API key.

Sending authorization values

There are multiple methods for transmitting authorization values, however, some are outdated and scheduled to be removed. It's recommend to use the Authorization header. If header auth isn't an option, the token may be sent through the ApiKey query parameter. Sending secure data in a query parameter is unsafe as the changes of it leaking (via logs, copy-paste actions or by other means) are high. Only use this method as a last resort.

This tutorial shows how to run docker natively on Android, without VMs and chroot.

Edit πŸŽ‰

All packages, except for Tini have been added to termux-root. To install them, simply pkg install root-repo && pkg install docker. This will install the whole docker suite, left only Tini to be compiled manually.

Making a DualBoot Mod for TWRP

Making a DualBoot Mod for TWRP

I no longer have a device where this is capable but there's a growing interest in it so figured I make a guide on it

What you will need

  • A working brain
  • Magisk zip
  • Some binaries (Some of these are included in twrp but varies by device so I'd just pack your own)
    • From magisk zip: busybox, magiskboot, magiskinit (rename magiskinit64 to magiskinit and use it if device is 64bit)
  • For ext4 partitions: e2fsdroid, mke2fs
