data-bridge is a personal automation tool operated by Eunsol Lee. It synchronizes data from external APIs (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, GitHub) into a local PostgreSQL database for the owner's private use.
When the operator authorizes a Google account via OAuth 2.0, data-bridge reads the following scopes on behalf of that authorized account only:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly— read-only access to Gmail messageshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly— read-only access to Calendar eventshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly— read-only access to Drive files
Read access is used to synchronize data into the operator's local database. data-bridge does not send mail, modify calendar events, or change files.
- OAuth refresh tokens are stored in a local
.envfile on the operator's machine. They are never transmitted to third parties. - Synchronized data (messages, events, files) is stored in a local PostgreSQL database running on the operator's own hardware.
- No data is uploaded to remote servers operated by data-bridge.
- data-bridge does not share data with third parties.
- data-bridge does not collect analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics.
- Downstream consumers (e.g., the operator's other tools) read from the same local database but stay under the operator's exclusive control.
The authorized account can revoke data-bridge's access at any time:
- Visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Locate the data-bridge OAuth client and click "Remove access"
Once revoked, the next sync attempt will fail with invalid_grant, and no further data will be read from that account.
