SWILE (5 years - Paris, Sao Paulo)
VP Engineer, Tech lead
Swile became a French Unicorn which provide a SaaS Meal voucher platform based on credit card instead of the legacy system in France based on physical (paper) voucher.
I Joined the company in a very early stage (~10 employees) and help to scale it until almost 1000 employees.
The first two years I was VP Engineer handle teams organization, making roadmaps, hiring engineers, but after 3 years, when the enterprise started to grow too fast, I switched slowly on technical lead side.
And as an engineer, my highlight missions was:
- Making an credit card authorization service to allow payment only in restaurants.
- Setup a datawarehouse with all the company data (app’s DB, Salesforce, Zendesk…).
- Migrate Postgres DB on CockroachDB to scale services over 2 continents (LATAM-EU).
- Create foundation for a design-system in React.
In 2021 Swile bought a small meal voucher company in Brazil. I moved in Sao Paulo for 3 months to bootstrap the first cross country engineer team. Swile was a really rich and intense experience.

LIGHTSTREAM (5 years - Montpellier France)
CEO / CTO
In 2013, I putted online a small side project which displays tweets in realtime on a world map. This project was named Tweetping. In a month, almost one million people reach the website and I get lot of articles on popular website like wired or dailymail. It was totally unexpected.
Si I quitted my job, found my partner, and we hired 2 people.
We didn’t raise found and the company ran like that for more than 3 years.
The product was a widget which displayed Twitter traffic in realtime according to an #hashtag (mostly on maps). Our clients uses the widget on wide screens during events or to embed it on their website. People could tweet and instantly see their message on the screen, it created engagement. Realtime was our technical priority, most of the stack was based on Nodejs and redis.
We get some big clients like Ferrero, Dell or Xerox, but unfortunately we lost them one by one the last year and I had to close the company.
That was a really nice experience and I would always recommend to people to try to launch a business if he has something in mind. I learnt exactly what I like to do in my job as well as what I don’t want to do anymore.
