In order ro take a screenshot using the macOS system, you have to press a lot or keys, but you also have a few different options.
- To snap the whole screen, press ⇧+⌘+3.
- To snap a portion of the screen, press ⇧+⌘+4, then click and drag to select the area with the mouse.
- To snap a window, press ⇧+⌘+4 followed by Space.
- You can also open the screen grabbing app itself,
Grab.app
.
The quickest way of opening an app is searching for it using Spotlight.
- To open Spotlight, press ⌘+Space. Enter the app name, navigate through search results with the arrow keys if needed, and press ⏎.
You can copy files using the ⌘+C. To paste, use ⌘+V.
After copying the file, paste it using ⌘+⌥+V.
Easy! When you have the cursor in a text field, press Ctrl+⌘+Space, then select the emoji you want. That's also where you can find symbols like ⌘, etc.
When undoing an action is applicable, press ⌘ + Z.
When applicable, you can re-do the previous undone action by pressing ⌘ + ⇧ + Z.
