DIY version of the ZeroLyte Salty Orange electrolyte mix
- 2.5 grams of Sodium Chloride (NaCl)
- 0.4 grams of Magnesium Malate (Mg)
- 0.4 grams of Potassium Citrate (KCl)
- 1 packet of "True Orange" - flavor!
- Sodium Chloride (NaCl) is just plain, fine ground table salt without iodine
- Potassium citrate was used instead of potassium chloride because citrate is "saltier" which goes well with the salty orange vibes
- Magnesium Malate was used as it is apparently the kinder of the Magnesium family on the GI system
- "True Orange" can be swapped out easily with its lemon, lime, grapefruit, etc counter-parts
- The
2.5 grams of Sodium Chloride (NaCl)
should balance out to:- 1.5 grams of chloride (Cl)
- 1.0 grams of sodium (Na)
