Heliodex Project Update - November 2022

An update to how all the projects I'm working on are going. Probably will do this a few times yearly.

TSBB

TSBB (Typing Simulator But Better), a typing game I've been working on alongside a few others and the sort-of succesor to Typing Simulator by S-GAMES, has been stuck in development hell for... sixteen months now.

It's essentially complete though (i promise), and all that is needed is a name for the project. Please give suggestions, as I have basically no ideas. "Typing Simulator" is already polluted with games in Roblox search results, and "TSBB" isn't catchy or descriptive.

eChat, the un-blockable bookmarklet chat app, was recently blocked on school chromebooks and I've open sourced it at Heliodex/eChat, Heliodex/eChatWebsite, Heliodex/eChatPopup. I have no further plans to do anything with it, though I might be able to rework it into something similar to DocSocial.

I realised The CI/CD seems to have broken as well before it was blocked, so 1.1.5 is the latest version available.

Haven't updated it in a while, I'll soon add eChat to the projects page and fix a few things. Considering adding a blog to it if I'm going to make more posts like these or anything else longer than a tweet.

The looks also have to be improved if it's my main portfolio site, and I gained same experience on creating actually good looking pages after making the Mercury landing page. Could rewrite it in SvelteKit too.

I haven't made any more calculators since the last addition, but I think I may have modified a few of them. I'll have to check and update the repository.

I finally managed to move the website away from Wix, and my first time using Astro (it's quite nice). I restrained myself from using SvelteKit for such a basic static site, but I'm already missing the instant navigation if nothing else. Gonna check if something like that exists for Astro.
