How to increase the root partition size on Fedora

How to increase the root partition size on Fedora

Boot up with an Fedora Live USB stick.

  1. Run vgs to check if there's any space:
$ sudo vgs
  VG     #PV #LV #SN Attr   VSize    VFree
  fedora   1   3   0 wz--n- <237.28g    0
If you want to login as root using SSH or SFTP you need to edit the config of SSHD, do this:
Login, and edit this file: sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
Find this line: PermitRootLogin without-password
Edit: PermitRootLogin yes
Close and save file
reboot or restart sshd service using: /etc/init.d/ssh restart
Set a root password if there isn't one already: sudo passwd root
Now you can login as root, but I recommend you using strong password or ssh-keys

Getting lirc to work with Raspberry Pi 3 (Raspbian Stretch)
Notes to make IR shield (made by LinkSprite) work in Raspberry Pi 3 (bought from Amazon [1]).
The vendor has some documentation [2] but that is not complete and sufficient for Raspbian Stretch.
Following are the changes that I made to make it work.
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lirc
# Add the following lines to /etc/modules file
lirc_dev
lirc_rpi gpio_in_pin=18 gpio_out_pin=17

Using Github Deploy Key

What / Why

Deploy key is a SSH key set in your repo to grant client read-only (as well as r/w, if you want) access to your repo.

As the name says, its primary function is to be used in the deploy process in replace of username/password, where only read access is needed. Therefore keep the repo safe from the attack, in case the server side is fallen.

How to

  1. Generate a ssh key
