INFO INTERVIEW QUESTIONARE

What type of jobs does the company have for students majoring in CompSci?

There are teaching opportunities and job opportunities because this is a school.

Minimum Qualifications

Managerial experience - multiple OSes - Bachelor's preferred - Network Administrator

Skills/abilities necessary

Have experience in network infra, cable, hw, VMWare, firewalls, apache, SQL

Typical duties

Might have to configure ports, manage accts, create VMs, design, layout datacenter - manages serverside

Advancements/Career path

Advancements would be more to go to the CIO position - higher level mngment

Salary Range

Salary - entry level low 30ks - desktop support

Benefits

Benefits - constantly changing, not doing same thing every day.

Job Security/Turnover

Not a lot of turnover, good working team, make sure person who is hired gets right environment

Exposed to tech at early age

What do you like about your field?

It is mentally challenging - things constantly change

What changes do you see in the near/distant future?

Changes in field in the future are everything is becoming IoT - changes are on an infrastural network

What are the challenges you face in your job?

Challenges are constantly changing regulations - federal regulations go for student privacy act

Do you see a demand for increasing jobs of this type in the future?

Demand increasing in future

Do you have any advice for me concerning this occupation?

Suggestions and reccomendations - Be prepped and be ready to start at lower level
