Hermes Mobile Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026

Hermes Mobile is published by Max Smith KDP LLC. Hermes Mobile lets you connect your phone to your own computer so you can monitor and control Hermes workflows from the mobile app.

Data We Collect

Hermes Mobile collects limited data needed to operate and improve the app:

  • Product interaction and in-app event data, such as screen views, connection status, scan results, upgrade prompts, and app-open events. We use this for product analytics and reliability diagnostics.
  • A device or installation identifier used by PostHog analytics to distinguish app installs and sessions.
  • Push notification tokens if you enable notifications, so the app can receive workflow alerts.
  • Purchase history from Apple App Store or Google Play billing when you buy or restore a paid upgrade.
  • Camera access only when you choose to scan a Hermes pairing QR code. QR frames are processed on-device and are not stored or sent to Max Smith KDP LLC.

Hermes Mobile does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, health data, precise location, advertising ID, or chat content for advertising. Pairing data and gateway credentials are stored on your device and are used to communicate with your own computer.

Analytics And Sharing

Hermes Mobile uses PostHog for analytics. Product interaction events and the app installation identifier may be sent to PostHog for analytics. Analytics can be disabled in the app settings.

Push notifications and purchases are processed by platform providers such as Google, Apple, and Firebase Cloud Messaging where applicable. We do not sell personal data.

Security

Data sent by Hermes Mobile to analytics or platform services is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS where supported. Local gateway communication is configured by the user and is intended for the user's own computer or private network.

Data Deletion And Opt-Out

You can disable analytics in Hermes Mobile settings. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your app installation, contact us at iganapolsky@gmail.com.

Children

Hermes Mobile is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as Hermes Mobile changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
