Tripwire Install on Ubuntu 16.04

This gist will help you to install tripwire on Ubuntu 16.04.

Download

sudo apt install tripwire

Reply to every questions when asked.

Configure Tripwire

sudo nano /etc/tripwire/tw.cfg
sudo nano /etc/tripwire/twpol.txt

Init database

sudo tripwire --init

First check

touch istheresomechanges
sudo tripwire --check --interactive

For non-interactive mode, just run without --interactive

Update database

sudo tripwire --update --silent --report /var/lib/tripwire/report/[REPORT]
