Problem: Blue screen of death, laptop stopped starting up

Symptoms:

• The laptop was working normally before the blue screen of death. After the blue screen of death, the laptop no longer starts up. The laptop does not power on, and there is no response when the power button is pressed.

Troubleshooting:

• I have tried the following troubleshooting steps, but the laptop is still not starting up:
• I have checked the power cable and power outlet to make sure that they are properly connected.
• I have tried pressing the power button for different lengths of time, but the laptop does not power on.
• I have removed the battery and tried starting the laptop with the AC adapter plugged in, but the laptop does not power on.
• I have checked the hard drive for errors, but there are no errors.
• I have tried restoring the laptop to factory settings, but the laptop does not start up in safe mode.

Resolution:

I have taken the laptop to a professional, and they have diagnosed the problem as a hardware failure. The professional has replaced the hard drive, and the laptop is now starting up normally.
