Active StarUML on Window/MacOS/Linux

• Step 1: Download and install StarUML Version 6 from main website https://staruml.io
• Step 2: Download app.asar file from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_sKvHVL6SebnYF73iZxSWD9l48Pddzvj/view?usp=sharing
• Step 3: Copy app.asar file download in step 2 (Override app.asar file)
  • Window: C:\Program Files\StarUML\resources
  • MacOS: /Applications/StarUML.app/Contents/Resources/
  • Linux: /opt/StartUML/resources
• Step 4: Open StarUML app to use

hi, im just download the app.asar and put it in the new version 6.3.1 and it keep saying there a new update and keep replace the app.asar that i just put in. Im a student and first time using it so i dont know how to turn off the auto update

Hello, the latest version is available. Please correct your app.asar.

It wasn't working for me on 6.3.1 on macOS so I modified the app.asar myself and now works. You can do it yourself by:

1. Installing asar:
   npm install -g asar

2. extract the app.asar file (/Applications/StarUML.app/Contents/Resources/app.asar):
   asar extract /path/to/app.asar /path/to/output-directory

3. Modify the license-manager.js file (/path/to/output-directory/app/src/engine/license-manager.js ):

Left is your app.asar file. Right is StarUML's app.asar file.

Your version contains a 70mb .git folder.

I forgot to delete .git, i use github to tracking source for if StarUML upgrade new version I can know what is changed. Thank you, I will update new .asar file
