MDM Profiles on macOS

Notes: From Zeno Popovici with edits & tested on a M1 macbook with Ventura (macOS 13).

In macOS you can check the MDM status with the following command in a Terminal:

profiles status -type enrollment

Non-removable MDM profiles cannot officially removed without doing a full system wipe

For some reason, it is surprisingly hard to create a bootable Windows USB using macOS. These are my steps for doing so, which have worked for me in macOS Monterey (12.6.1) for Windows 10 and 11. After following these steps, you should have a bootable Windows USB drive.

1. Download a Windows disc image (i.e. ISO file)

You can download Windows 10 or Windows 11 directly from Microsoft.

2. Identify your USB drive

After plugging the drive to your machine, identify the name of the USB device using diskutil list, which should return an output like the one below. In my case, the correct disk name is disk2.

Most new PCs don't come with DVD drives anymore. So it can be a pain to install Windows on a new computer.

Luckily, Microsoft makes a tool that you can use to install Windows from a USB storage drive (or "thumbdrive" as they are often called).

But what if you don't have a second PC for setting up that USB storage drive in the first place?

In this tutorial we'll show you how you can set this up from a Mac.

Step 1: Download the Windows 10 ISO file

You can download the ISO file straight from Windows. That's right - everything we're going to do here is 100% legal and sanctioned by Microsoft.

Speed up warden for faster importing of large sql dumps.

Add the innodb options to the warden/environments/magento2.base.yml docker-compose YML file.
Restart warden environment warden env down && warden sync stop && warden env up -d && warden sync start
Import the .sql file with warden db import.
Remove options & restart warden enviornment once import completed.
