React Folder Structure

Folder Structure

Motivations

  • Clear feature ownership
  • Module usage predictibility (refactoring, maintainence, you know what's shared, what's not, prevents accidental regressions, avoids huge directories of not-actually-reusable modules, etc)

Higher-order Components
import { Component } from "React";
export var Enhance = ComposedComponent => class extends Component {
constructor() {
this.state = { data: null };
}
componentDidMount() {
this.setState({ data: 'Hello' });
}

PostgreSQL command line cheatsheet

PSQL

Magic words:

psql -U postgres

Some interesting flags (to see all, use -h or --help depending on your psql version):

  • -E: will describe the underlaying queries of the \ commands (cool for learning!)
  • -l: psql will list all databases and then exit (useful if the user you connect with doesn't has a default database, like at AWS RDS)

Webkit Pseudo-Element Selectors (Shadow DOM Elements)

An ongoing project to catalogue all of these sneaky, hidden, bleeding edge selectors as I prepare my JSConf EU 2012 talk.

Everything is broken up by tag, but within each the selectors aren't particularly ordered.

I have not tested/verified all of these. Have I missed some or got it wrong? Let me know. - A

A friendly reminder that you may need to set this property on your target/selected element to get the styling results you want:

-webkit-appearance:none;

testing git-flow on existing git repo

# about using git-flow with existing git repos I experimented with a dummy
