Metric - Dead Disco Tab
Intro (played on a keyboard)
E|----11~---------8~-------------------|
B|----------9~-------------------------|
G|---------------------8~--------------|
D|-------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------|
Last time through you hold onto the Eb from before,
add a Bb, and turn up the distortion (or tape delay repeats would work)
I'm guessing she's going for a Cm7 sound here
E|-----------------------|
B|-------------------11~-|
G|-------(8~)------------|
D|-----------------------|
A|-----------------------|
E|-----------------------|
Verse (gtr + bass, also the bass plays this in the intro)
E|------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------6-6---6-6-6---6-------------6---|
A|------------------6-6---6-6-6---6-----------------8-8---8-6-8---8-|
E|--8-8---8-8-8---8-------------------------------------------------|
Chorus
power chords here
C5 F5 Eb5 F5
After the second F5, there's this little flourish
Guitar:
E|-----------------------|
B|---9----9-8~-----------|
G|--10---10-8~-----------|
D|-----------------------|
A|-----------------------|
E|-----------------------|
Bass:
E|------------|
B|------------|
G|------------|
D|------------|
A|-1---1-2----|
E|---3--------|
Solo (over the verse riff)
E|-----------------------------------8---------|
B|--4--4-3~---9--9-8~---14--14-13~---9--8-9-8\-|
G|--5--5-3~---8--8-8~---13--13-13~---8---------|
D|---------------------------------(10)--------|
A|---------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------|
v v v -> pretty sure these higher notes are happy accidents left in the recording
E|------------9--9-8-----------------8------------|
B|--4--4-3~---9--9-8~---14--14-13~---9------------|
G|--5--5-3~---8--8-8~---13--13-13~---8------------|
D|---------------------------------(10)-----------|
A|----------------------------------------1---1-2-|
E|------------------------------------------3-----|
I think their thinking here is:
Cm -> Cm7sus2 (Gm works, but feels like we're staying on Cm)
Ebsus4 -> Eb
Absus4 -> Ab (yeah C# is out of key. Doesn't matter; I want the sus4 resolution!)
Fm7 -> Fm7sus2 (Cm also works, they just want the G note to lead into C)
Synth Solo (over the chorus riff)
E|-----------------------------------|
B|--4-3-4----4-3-4----4-3-4---4-6-4--|
G|--------5--------------------------|
D|-----------------5-----------------|
A|-----------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------|
The second time through she adds a little flourish at the end:
E|----------------------------------3----|
B|--4-3-4----4-3-4----4-3-4---4---6--4-6-|
G|--------5------------------------------|
D|-----------------5---------------------|
A|---------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------|
Outro synth part: (tbh I think there's multiple parts here, but here's what I make out)
E|---------------------------|
B|---------------------------|
G|-12(x4)-10(x4)-8(x4)-6(x4)-|
D|---------------------------|
A|---------------------------|
E|---------------------------|
