Voice PE Setup with anker speaker

Voice PE setup with small Anker Speaker

looking for a better speaker then the built in speaker so you can enjoy music from your voice-PE

This is a setup I have which works great

Hardware

Home Assistant Voice PE - https://www.home-assistant.io/voice-pe/

Anker Soundcore Mini - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HTH3C8S

3.5mm cable - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09GNF2MXM

Isolation Transformer - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B019FC6ZQQ

Anker PowerPort - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PK1IIJY

The Speaker

Its cheap and cheerful, supports 3.5mm in or BT connection. You are not going to be hosting a rave with it but for household music it is a mighty little speaker

Doubles up as a portable bluetooth speaker with battery if you want to take it away somewhere.

The Isolation Transformer

This may or may not be needed depending on your setup.

The reason for using it to prevent a "ground loop" and getting interference/static on the audio stream. This can happen when the VPE and the Speaker are using the same power supply.

These are fairly cheap and mostly all do the same job.

They are common because the same issue can happen in cars when a phone is charging and pluged into an aux audio input

The Power Adaptor

Cheap 6 port usb power output works nicely for thees 2 devies with enough for device charging

The Setup
