text = "X-DSPAM-Confidence: 0.8475"; | |

check this one easy and simple
text = "X-DSPAM-Confidence: 0.8475";
t = text.find('0.8475')
number = text[t:]
print(float(number))
text = "X-DSPAM-Confidence: 0.8475"
x= text.find(":")
print(x)
y= text[x+1:]
print(y)
value=float(y)
print(value)
My Optimized Solution.
text = "X-DSPAM-Confidence: 0.8475"
Step 1. find 0
Step 2. making a slice of string
Step 3. converting into float
Step 4. printing step
print(float(text[text.find('0'):]))
All solutions were helpful. thanks a bunch...
Very short and precise
y = float(text[text.find(' '):])
print(y)
