  • I think my strongest quality would be self-assuredness. Most of the skill sets listed are things like intuitive and bold; I may doubt myself from time to time, but I do believe I am capable of what I set my mind to. I tend to work best on my own but when in groups, I am comfortable in the driver seat or taking direction. I need to work on utilizing other people's methods and not just listening with no intention of taking the advice. I should trust my teammates more than that. My results say I could be a good leader, I'm intuitive and collected. I hope this will carry me through the challenges I am sure to face beyond Turing and into my career. It's important to know our strengths so we can build on them and lean on them when we have doubt. It's important to know our weaknesses so when we feel them surface or expose themselves, we recognize it and take steps to overcome them.

  1. HTML structures the webpage. It separates it into different sections like headings vs body paragraphs and pictures.
  2. Tags are like bookends, they hold the text between them and they also explain what kind of information is there. The text between the tags are the elements.
  3. Attributes provide more information about what is in between the tags. They sit at the front and contain details like name, language or color. 4.The head contains information about the page and usually comes before the body. The body is what is in the main browser window. The title is shown in the top of the browser and on the tab for that page.
  4. To view the source of a webpage, you right click on the open page and select 'View Page Source.'

I feel like I've always been a fairly empathetic person. It has helped me to be more patient and understanding of people who come from a different walk of life than I do. Being empathetic in a field like development is important because we are designing platforms that will be used by, possibly, many different kinds of people. If we aren't listening to and trying to understand our customer or target audience, we cannot be successful. It's the same for our teammates; we all should try to understand why someone feels or thinks the way they do and it'll help us communicate with each other more effectively, increasing productivity. In the Navy, being empathetic helped me in quite a few situations, including PT and people being "broken" or unable to fully participate. A lot of people were quick to call "lazy" without even considering the person's history or medical issues. It's difficult for me to be empathetic when the person I'm trying to better understand is always negative and shows no effort to improve their
