DTR: Define the Relationship
Project:RomCom | |
Group Member Names: Annie and Paige
Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):
We would like to get to 3's on everything and are aiming for a 4 on professionalism.
Annie: I would like to have more confidence with JS
Paige: I want to get better with the git workflow and learn more about event listeners
Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):
Annie: I'm cooperative practical. I am respectful of the rules and love time structure and adher to rules set in the DTR.
Paige: I am a tugboat. I am pretty tenacious and will continue to push ahead with problems until I find a solution.
How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:
We can use our strengths to both push through problems but also take the necessary breaks to allow ourselves to reset.
Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have? Make sure to discuss the remote questions above in regards to this section):
We plan on starting out work together and reassesing when we are farther along in the project. We might split up if we both feel strong with the concepts. We plan on working every afternoon from 5-8, taking a break on Friday and then spending Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning working together.
Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team? How will we communicate about our emotional and mental well-being with each other?):
We will primarily use slack. We both discussed working hours when we would be available but have each other numbers if something urgent comes up. We are accountabilibuddies so we have a good candence going and will make sure to keep our check ins regular.
Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):
Annie: I want to grow in my confidence level and take initiative. I'm hoping to gain more confidence. CSS and HTML are my strengths and I have seen this project before and know what is going to happen.
Paige: I feel comfortable so far with JS logic. I want to have a better understanding of event listeners.
Workload Expectations (What features do we each want to work on?):
All of them! We plan on working together on all of our features unless we hit a point where we want to divide and conquer.
Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):
Follow PR template, work on it together for the first few times to get the workflow down.
Problem solving: pseudocoding + talk to each other, google, textbook, peers in that order.
Pomodoro Break Schedule:
30 - 5 | |
Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:
Annie: I prefer a compliment sandwich.
Paige: I prefer feedback early on that is actionable and points to something specific.
Additional Remote Considerations:
N/A | |
Project management tools we will use (GitHub projects or Trello are popular tools):
Trello | |
Day 1 Agenda: | |
