In the beginning, there was a swell of chaos.
Everything slowly mixed together, and everything was unclear.
One day, a large egg appeared in the center. For a long time, the egg continued to sway there.

After a long time, the swell stopped, the egg spilled out, and broke.
The absolute god Aus was born.

The scattered pieces of the shell transformed into giants, and attacked the newly born Aus one after another.
However, Aus continued to grow rapidly and continued to defeat the giants.
A fierce battle continued, but finally Aus defeated all the giants.

Wounded, Aus decided to create a clone of himself.
Since the left and right sides of Aus' body looked different, he decided to create two clones.
Aus collected the remains of the giants he had defeated and poured his own blood into them.
Light overflowed from the one who resembled his left side, so he named it Eia, the god of light.
Darkness crept from the being that resembled his right side, so he named it Ea, the god of darkness.

Aus ordered the two to fill every place with their family, and fell into a deep sleep.

Although Ea and Ea had different shapes and forms, they loved each other, mated, and had many children.

However, there was still no place for them to call into the world. The vulnerable children with nowhere to go died one after another.

In their grief, Ea and Ea thought about creating a world where everyone could live healthy and prosperous lives.

Ea and Ea called their children, Rei, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of hearts, and Hai, the god of voice.

When Rei woke up, everything appeared there. Colors and shapes were born.
When Ai wished, everything was felt there. A calm presence spread.
When Hai shouted, everything trembled there. A happy sound began to resonate.

Ea and Ea gave the three the seeds of life and ordered them to grow them.

As the three prayed in a circle, the Seed of Life sprouted.

The sprout quickly grew into a giant Tree of Life.

However, the Tree of Life continued to grow endlessly, eventually filling up everywhere and making it impossible for anyone to move.

The three asked their father, Ea, and mother, Ea, for help.

Ea and Ea mated again and had three children.
They gave birth to Rayquaza, god of the sky, Groudon, god of the earth, and Kyogre, god of the sea.

Rayquaza wrapped its body around the Tree of Life.
Groudon and Kyogre slammed their bodies into the Tree of Life.

Eventually the Tree of Life fell and broke into three pieces.

Ray, Ai, and Hai were saddened that the Tree of Life would decay like this, and offered a prayer.
Then, the shattered Tree of Life transformed into the sky, earth, and sea, respectively.

Rayquaza transformed into the main pillar that held up the sky.
Its shadow rising into the sky transformed into three gods supporting the sky: Dragonite, Snorlax, and Tyranitar.
The air enveloped the sky, and the stars twinkled.

Groudon transformed into a rock formation covering the earth.
Its roar as it dived into the earth transformed into three gods supporting the earth: Darv, Sarne, and Gordon.
The earth stirred, and the mountains writhed.

Kyogre transformed into a vein that embraced the sea.
Its ripples disappearing into the ocean transformed into three gods supporting the sea: Latias, Metagross, and Latios.
The ocean filled with water, and the waves whispered.

And so the world was born.

Ea and Ea, and the many gods, were overjoyed by this, and they allowed their children to populate the world.

That peaceful world was a paradise for the children of the gods.

The children of the gods continued to multiply.

Little by little, their power and words changed.

Before long, the gods began to call those who lived in that world by two names.

The children of the gods who resembled the Great Father Ea were called "Pokemon." The children of the gods who resembled the Great Mother Ea were called "people."

When the absolute god Aus awakens, he will promise even greater fertility and prosperity when he sees the world filled with his descendants.

Aus collected the bodies of the titans he had defeated and poured his blood into them.

When the clone, which resembled his left side, was born, light filled the area.
Aus named it Ea, the god of light.
When the clone, which resembled his right side, was born, time began to flow.
Aus named it Ea, the god of time.

Aus commanded the two to prosper their brethren and create a prosperous world, and fell into a deep sleep.

When Ea neighed loudly, the area was filled with light.
After Ea walked, the light extended, gently illuminating the area.
When Ea neighed loudly, time was released.
After Ea walked, everything began to slowly stir in the womb.

A vessel to hold the world was created there.

Though Ea and Ea were completely different in appearance, they loved each other and had three children.
They gave birth to Rei, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of the heart, and Hai, the god of voice.

When Rei woke up, everything appeared there. Colors and shapes were born.
When Ai wished, everything was felt there. A calm presence spread.
When Hai cried, everything vibrated there. A happy sound began to resonate.

Ea and Ea gave the three of them the Seed of Life and ordered them to nurture it.

When the three of them prayed in a circle, the Seed of Life sprouted.
The sprout continued to grow, and eventually became a giant Tree of Life.
However, the Tree of Life continued to grow, and eventually it filled every corner, and no one could move.

The three were forced to cut the Tree of Life.

Rei wrapped his body around the Tree of Life.
Ai and Hai slammed their bodies into the Tree of Life.

Eventually, the Tree of Life fell, shattering into three pieces.

The three were sad to see the Tree of Life rot away and disappear like this, and prayed again.

Then three gods descended on the fragments of the Tree of Life.
Rayquaza, god of the sky. Groudon, god of the earth. Kyogre, god of the sea.

As the three gods neighed, the shattered Tree of Life transformed into the sky, earth, and sea, respectively.

Rayquaza transformed into the main pillar that holds up the heavens.
Its shadow soaring through the sky became a god that supports the heavens, known as Dragonite.
The air enveloped the sky, and the stars twinkled.

Groudon transformed into solid stone that covered the earth.
Its roar as it dived into the earth transformed it into a god that supports the earth, known as Tyranitar.
The earth stirred, and the mountains writhed.

Kyogre transformed into a vein that embraced the ocean.
The ripples that disappeared into the ocean transformed into Gyarados, the god that supports the ocean.
The ocean filled with water, and the waves whispered.

And thus the world was born.

Ea, Ea, and the other gods were very happy, and they had their children live in the world.

The peaceful world was a paradise for the children of the gods.

The children of the gods continued to increase.

Their powers and words changed little by little.

At some point, the gods began to call those who lived in that world by two names.

The children of the gods who resembled the great father Ea were called "Pokemon." The children of the gods who resembled the great mother Ea were called "people."

The absolute god Aus will soon awaken and be very happy to see this world, and promise even more fertility and prosperity.

pmyth02

When the world did not yet have a name, that is, when the world did not have a clear shape.
There was a giant egg, and none other than the absolute god Aus.

Aus wanted to create the world, but the labor required to do so was too great and extremely difficult.

So Aus created three alter egos by dividing his power into three.

Ea, the god of light who illuminates and makes everything shine.
Ea, the god of time who manages and moves everything.
A black giant who destroys everything and returns it to nothing.
Three brothers were born.

Aus ordered Ea and Ea to work on shaping the world, and the giant to break the egg, then he fell into a deep sleep.

When Ea neighed loudly, the world was filled with light.
After Ea walked, a glow stretched out, gently illuminating the surroundings.

When Ea neighed loudly, time was released.
After Ea walked, everything began to move slowly.

The giant's body, blessed by Ea and Ea, was filled with power.
The giant slammed his fist down on the egg.
The egg was pierced, cracked, and the shell shattered.
Many people and Pokémon spilled out.

The giant began killing those born from the egg, one by one.

Ia and Ea tried to dissuade him, but the giant didn't listen.

Ia and Ea struggled to decide whether they should kill the giant, but they could not bring themselves to kill their own brothers.
So they decided to select the best people from among the people and Pokémon that had emerged from the egg to kill the giant.

Ia and Ea selected the strongest and most intelligent people from among the humans and said to them,

Kill the giant. He is our brother. We cannot kill him.

The humans said,

How can we defeat that fearsome giant with our own strength?

Ia and Ea said,

We will grant you companions who will give you strength.

Three Pokémon appeared before the humans.

When Ea and Ea neighed in unison, the three Pokémon's appearances changed rapidly.
The three Pokémon became Ray, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of hearts, and Hai, the god of voice.

When Ray woke up, everything appeared there. Colors and shapes were born.
When Ai wished, everything was felt there. A calm presence spread.
When Hai shouted, everything trembled. A happy tone began to resonate.

Ea and Ea said.

With Ray's power, the giant's movements will appear to stop.
With Ai's power, you will be able to understand the giant's thoughts as if you could touch them.
With Hai's power, you will not tremble at the giant's screams.

The gods of humans and the three Pokémon joined forces and defeated the giant.

Then Ea and Ea appeared in front of the giant's body.
Ea and Ea were unable to bear the death of their brothers, so they shared half of their souls with the giant.
Then the giant's soul and body were split into three.

His body became the sky, the earth, and the sea.

His soul was reborn as Rayquaza, the god of the sky, Groudon, the god of the earth, and Kyogre, the god of the sea.

Rayquaza embraced the sky, Groudon supported the mountains, and Kyogre embraced the sea.

And so the world was born.

Ea and Ea said to the humans and the three Pokémon gods.

You and your families should live here.
We will pray for your prosperity and the fertility of the world forever from our place where we can see the whole world.

And so, humans, gods, and Pokémon came to live in the world.

pmyth03

When the world did not yet have a clear shape.
When the boundary between gods, humans, and Pokémon was unclear.

To create the ultimate world, the absolute god Aus gave birth to the Titans, who were his alter-ego, splitting his wild power.
The Titans had the power to destroy, devour, and purify everything.
With the power of the Titans, all walls were broken and the world expanded.

There was a man.
One day, a wounded woman was found collapsed where the man lived.
The man brought her home and cared for her warmly.
The two eventually fell in love, and when her wounds had healed, the woman was pregnant with two children.
After a while, she gave birth to twins.
The woman then transformed into a godly figure and began to speak.

I am a god called Aus.
I used to live in a different place from here.
But I was driven here by a Titan, an alter-ego of mine.
Because the Titan is myself, I cannot kill him.
Titans destroy and devour everything. One day they will descend upon this world as well.
Until that day comes, please take good care of these children.
The only ones who can kill him are those who possess the same power as me, that is, these children, who possess the powers of god, man, and Pokémon.

After finishing her story, Aus disappeared before the man.

The man named the twins Aus.

These are the two words they felt when they saw their true forms.
Ea means light, and Ea means time.

Receiving their father's love, the twins continued to grow up healthy.
Eventually, when they approached their father's height, the twins spoke in unison to their father.

A giant had come.

Color, sound, and the calm atmosphere all disappeared from the surroundings.
People and Pokémon disappeared.
A giant roared from beyond the emptiness.

When the giant spotted the twins, it attacked them in a rage.
Instinctively, the father jumped out. He threw himself at his son to shield him from the giant, but his strength ran out.

Then a change occurred in Ea and Ea's bodies.
Ea's human body split, and strong limbs stretched out. His upper arms shone like diamonds.
Ea's human body split, and two supple legs stretched out. Pearl-like spheres covered his shoulders to his back.
Transforming into giant dragons, Ea and Ea leapt at the giant.

After a long battle, the giant collapsed before Ea and Ea.

Ea and Ea ran to their father's body and roared loudly.
The absolute god Aus descended and said.

The body may perish, but the soul will not perish.

Three lights overflowed from their father's body.
The lights became Ray, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of the heart, and Hai, the god of voice.

Aus said to the three gods.

Incarnations of the beloved, give your blessings to this world.

When Ray awoke, everything appeared there. Colors and shapes were born.
When Ai wished, everything was felt there. A calm presence spread.
When Hai shouted, everything trembled there. A happy tone began to resonate.

The three gods ran everywhere, spreading their protection.

The world was filled with happiness.

Aus prayed to the giant's body. Then the body transformed into a huge mountain.

Aus said to Ea and Ea.

You watch over the world from this place, higher than anywhere else. Pour light and let time shine.

Aus rose to the sky.

Ea and Ea neighed loudly and disappeared into the huge mountain.

pmyth04

When the world was still one continent.

People, Pokemon, the wind blowing through the hills, the morning dew dripping on the leaves, the stones sleeping in the mountains, everything was equal,

everything in the world was friends, food, and family.

But over the long years, people gradually forgot their respect for the gods and nature, and their friendship with Pokemon.
Eventually, they fought each other for glory and wealth, and started wars.

They cut down trees and dug mountains. They carved stones and made weapons. He washed the blood-stained blade, muddying the water.

With no place to live, the weak Pokémon died one after another.
Powerful Pokémon were used as tools of war and died.

Seeing this, the absolute god Aus was greatly enraged and saddened.

Aus's shout became thunder, destroying every building.
The god of the sky disappeared.
The impact of Aus's rush became an earthquake, splitting the earth.
The god of the earth disappeared.
Aus's tears became a tsunami, engulfing everything.
The ocean disappeared.

The world, without its support, was on the verge of returning to nothingness.

The people left behind offered prayers to appease the god.
They apologized to nature for their arrogance. They apologized to Pokémon for their sins.

Then two gods descended before the people.

An other self of Aus. Ea, the god of light. Ea, the god of time.

Ea and Ea neighed loudly, and the natural disasters stopped.

Aus wrapped his body in the egg and fell asleep.

Ea and Ea ran around the nearly destroyed world.

A ray of light stretched out after Ea, gently illuminating the surroundings.
The trees revived and the air became clear.
After Ea, time was released and everything began to move.
The wind blew and the water resumed its flow.

Ea and Ea revived the world.

However, they left the torn earth as it was so that people would not forget Aus's anger and sorrow.

As the world was filled with light and time, the gods that support the heavens, earth, and sea returned.

The world came back to life.

Ea and Ea called upon Rei, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of the heart, and Hai, the god of voice, and ordered them to protect the world.

The two gods then disappeared into the highest mountain in the world.

Rei looked over the world closely with his eyes.
Ai senses an ominous presence in his heart.
Hai hears the creaking of the world with his ears.

The three gods watch over the world from three places.

If the people make the same mistake twice, they will summon Aus.
If disaster strikes the world, they will summon Ea and Ea.

Ray watches. Ai is there. Hai listens.

The three gods became the people's warnings and protection.

And so the people returned to worshiping the gods, loving nature, and living with Pokémon as friends.

One day, a large egg appeared in the center. The egg continued to rock there.

When the one modeled after his right side was born, time began to flow.
Aus named this clone Ea, the god of time.

Aus ordered the two to create life and the world it would live in, and fell into a deep sleep.

When Ea prayed, a light extended and illuminated the area.
When Ea prayed, everything began to stir.

Ea and Ea ordered the three to grow the Seed of Life.

The three formed a circle and prayed, and the Seed of Life sprouted.
The sprout continued to grow, and eventually became a giant Tree of Life*3.
The Tree of Life continued to grow, and eventually it filled every corner, and no one could move.

The three were forced to cut the Tree of Life.

Rei wrapped his body around the Tree of Life. Ai and Hai slammed their bodies into the Tree of Life.

The ocean filled with water and the waves whispered.

Thus, a world with one heaven, earth, and sea was born. *4

Ea and Ea were happy about this, and they had their children, including Rei, Ai, and Hai, live in the world.

The children of the gods continued to increase in number in this rich world. Their appearances, powers, and words changed little by little.

They cut down trees and dug mountains. They carved rocks and made weapons. He washed the blood-stained blade, muddying the water.

One by one, weak Pokémon with no place to live died.

Powerful Pokémon were used as tools of war and died.

The corpses of people and Pokémon flooded the area.

Seeing this, Ea and Ea were filled with anger and sorrow.

Their wailing became an earthquake, tearing the earth apart.

In his rage, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His steel-like skin and thick, powerful limbs. His upper arms shone like diamonds.
In the depths of wailing, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His skin was as clear as water, and his two supple legs. His shoulders and back were covered in pearl-like spheres.

When Ea roared, rain of light poured down on the surrounding area, burning everything to ashes.

When Ea roared, time became distorted and all activity ceased.

The few people who survived offered prayers to appease the gods.
They apologized to nature for their arrogance. They apologized to Pokémon for their sins.

Then Ray, Ai, and Hai appeared before the people.

The three gods offered prayers together with the people.
Eventually, the prayers became a powerful whirlpool that gently enveloped Ea and Ea.

The two, having heard the prayers, calmed down and disappeared into the highest mountain in the world.

The trees revived and the air became clear. The wind blew and the murmuring of the rivers was revived. The world regained its fertile form.
However, as if to show the deep anger and sadness engraved in Ea and Ea, the divided land never returned to its original state. *4

The three gods scattered to three different places in the world to heal Ea and Ea, and to watch over the actions of the people.

The people once again began to respect the gods, love nature, and live with Pokémon as their friends.
And so that the same mistake would not be repeated, this incident was turned into a song and a warning.

Make all things your friends.
Do not make Ea angry. Do not make Ea sad.
The torn earth will not return.
Make all things your friends.
Rei is watching. Ai is there. Hai is listening.
Pray with the three gods.

*1
A symbol of the fear and shock of separation from the womb, as Jung puts it. The giants are not Pokemon.

*2
The left and right are not really different, but a symbol of absoluteness, a metaphor that the roughness of humans and Pokemon is the same.
Ea = man/Pokemon. Ea = woman/human.

*3
Tree = symbol of the growth of life.

*4
One land = Pangaea supercontinent, divided land = the current world continents.

His skin was as clear as water and his two supple legs. From his shoulders to his back, pearl-like orbs covered him.

Ea roared in a terrifying voice, and a giant sun obscured the area.
A scorching light illuminated the area, the mountains burned, and the seas dried up. People and Pokémon with nowhere to go died of heat and hunger.

As Ea howled in a saddening voice, the surroundings became dark and cold as night.
The earth froze and the trees quickly rotted. Many people and Pokémon died of cold and hunger.
The two continued to scream and the world crumbled.
The few people who survived offered prayers to calm the two.
They apologized to nature for their arrogance. They apologized to Pokémon for their sins.
Then Rei, Ai, and Hai appeared before the people.
The three gods offered prayers together with the people.
A gentle sound echoed throughout the area.
People, Pokémon, trees, and minerals all began to pray together.
The cries of anger and sorrow were enveloped in the gentle sounds of prayer.
The three dragon Pokémon left for the depths of the highest mountain.

pmyth05.2 Aus

In the beginning, there was a swell of chaos.
Everything slowly mixed together, and everything was vague.
One day, a large egg appeared in the center. The egg continued to sway there.

When the swell stopped, the egg spilled out and broke.
The absolute god Aus was born.
The scattered shell fragments transformed into giants*1, and attacked the newly born Aus one after another.

However, Aus continued to grow and defeat the giants.
At the end of a fierce battle, Aus defeated all the giants.

Wounded by the battle, Aus decided to create a clone of himself.
Since the left and right sides of Aus' body were different*2, he decided to create two clones.
Aus collected the corpses of the giants and poured his own blood into them.

When the clone was born, modeled after his left side, the surroundings were filled with light.
Aus named the clone Ea, the god of light.

When the clone, modeled after his right side, was born, time began to quietly pass.
Aus named the clone Ea, the god of time.

Aus ordered the two to create life and the world it lives in, then fell into a deep sleep.

When Ea prayed, a light spread and illuminated the surroundings.
When Ea prayed, everything began to stir.

A vessel was created to hold the world.

Ea and Ea were very different in appearance, but they loved each other and had three children.
Rei, the god of eyes, Ai, the god of the heart, and Hai, the god of voice, were born.

When Rei awoke, everything appeared there. Colors and shapes were born.
When Ai wished, everything was felt there. A calm presence spread.
When Hai cried, everything trembled there. A happy melody began to resonate.

Ea and Ea handed the seeds to the three gods and ordered them to grow them.

The three prayed in a circle, and the seed sprouted in an instant.

The sprouts grew rapidly, and soon became a giant tree*3.
The tree continued to grow, eventually filling up everywhere, and no one could move.

The three gods were forced to cut the tree down.

Ray wrapped his body around the tree. Ai and Hai slammed their bodies against it.

Eventually the tree fell, shattering into three pieces.

The three gods were sad to see the tree rot away and disappear, and offered a prayer.
Ea and Ea sent their three children to the pieces of the tree.
Rayquaza, god of the sky. Groudon, god of the earth. Kyogre, god of the sea.
When the three gods roared, the pieces of the shattered tree transformed into the sky, earth, and sea, respectively.

Rayquaza transformed into a pillar that held up the heavens.
Its shadow soaring through the sky transformed into a god called Dragonite, who supports the heavens.
The atmosphere enveloped the sky, and the stars twinkled.
Groudon transformed into a rock that covered the earth.
Its roar as it dived into the earth transformed into a god called Tyranitar, who supports the earth.
The earth stirred, and the mountains writhed.
Kyogre transformed into a vein that embraced the sea.
Its ripples that disappeared into the ocean transformed into a god called Gyarados, who supports the sea.
The ocean filled with water, and the waves whispered.

And thus a world with one heaven, earth, and sea was born. *4

Ea and Ea were delighted by this, and they populated the world with their children, including Ray, Ai, and Hai.
Ea gently illuminated the world and its children with her body.
Ea quietly nurtured the world and its children with her body.

In this fertile world, the number of children continued to increase. Their appearance, powers, and words changed little by little.

Eventually, the gods began to call the beings that lived in that world by three names.

People. Pokémon. Nature.

Everything was a friend, food, and family. Everything was abundant, and the world was enveloped in happiness.

But in the midst of this boundless happiness, humans gradually forgot their respect for the gods, and their friendship with nature and Pokémon.

Eventually, arrogance and greed arose in their hearts. And to satisfy this, they began wars.
They cut down trees and dug into mountains. They carved rocks and made weapons. They washed their blood-stained blades and muddied the water.

With no place to live, weak Pokémon died one after another.
Pokémon with great powers were used as tools of war and died.
The corpses of people and Pokémon overflowed the area.

Seeing this, Ear and Ea were filled with anger and sorrow.

Their grief became an earthquake that tore the land apart.

In his rage, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His thick, strong limbs and skin like steel. His upper arms shone like diamonds.
In the depths of grief, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His skin was as clear as water and his two supple legs. From his shoulders to his back, pearl-like orbs covered him.

As Ea roared in a terrifying voice, a giant sun covered the area.
A scorching light illuminated the area, the mountains burned, and the sea dried up. People and Pokémon who had nowhere to go died of heat and hunger.

As Ea roared in a sad voice, the area became dark and cold like night.
The earth froze and the trees rotted quickly. Many people and Pokémon died of cold and hunger.
The two continued to scream and the world crumbled.

The few people who survived offered prayers to calm the two. He apologized to nature for his arrogance. He apologized to Pokémon for his sins.

Then Ray, Ai, and Hai appeared before the people.

The three gods offered prayers together with the people.
A gentle sound echoed around.
People, Pokémon, trees, and minerals all began to pray together.
The cries of anger and sorrow were enveloped in the gentle sounds of prayer.

The three dragon Pokémon left for the depths of the highest mountain.

The trees revived and the air became clear. The wind blew and the murmuring of the rivers was revived. The world regained its fertile form.
However, as if to show the deep anger and sorrow engraved in Ea and Ea, the divided land did not return to its original state. *4

The three gods scattered to three different places in the world to watch over the actions of the people.
The people began to respect the gods again and love everything as family.
And so that the same mistakes would not be repeated, they decided to continue singing the sounds of prayer in song.

Let everything be friends.
Do not make Ea angry. Do not make Ea sad.
The torn earth will not return.
Make all things your friends.
Rei is watching. Ai is there. Hai is listening.
Pray with the three gods.

In the beginning, there was a swell of chaos.
Everything slowly mixed together, and everything was ambiguous.
One day, a large egg appeared in the center. The egg continued to sway there.

When the swell stopped, the egg spilled out and broke.
The absolute god Aus was born.
The scattered pieces of the shell transformed into giants*1 and attacked the newborn Aus one after another.
However, Aus continued to grow and continued to defeat the giants.
After a fierce battle, Aus defeated all of the giants.

Wounded in the battle, Aus decided to create an alter ego.
The left and right sides of Aus' body looked different*2, so he decided to create two alter egos.
Aus gathered the corpses of the giants and poured his blood into them.

When the alter ego, which resembled his left side, was born, the area was filled with light.
Aus named this alter ego Ea, the god of light.
When the one who resembled his right side was born, time began to turn.
Aus named this alter ego Ea, the god of time.

Aus ordered the two to create life and the world in which it lives, and then fell into a deep sleep.

When Ea prayed, a light spread and illuminated the surroundings.
When Ea prayed, everything began to stir.

A vessel to hold the world was created there.

Ea and Ea ordered the three to grow the Seed of Life.

When the three prayed in a circle, the Seed of Life sprouted.
The sprouts continued to grow, and eventually became a giant Tree of Life*3.
The Tree of Life continued to grow, eventually filling up everywhere, and no one could move.

The three were forced to cut down the Tree of Life.

Ray wrapped his body around the Tree of Life. Ai and Hai slammed their bodies into the Tree of Life.

Eventually the Tree of Life fell and broke into three pieces.

The three gods offered a prayer, regretting that the Tree of Life would decay and disappear like this.

Ea and Ea sent their three newly born children to the fragments of the Tree of Life.

Rayquaza, god of the sky. Groudon, god of the earth. Kyogre, god of the sea.

As the three gods roared, the shattered Tree of Life transformed into the sky, earth and sea respectively.

Rayquaza transformed into the main pillar that holds up the heavens.
Its shadow soaring through the sky transformed into a god that supports the heavens, known as Dragonite.
The air enveloped the sky, and the stars twinkled.
Groudon transformed into solid stone covering the earth.
Its roar as it dived into the earth transformed into a god that supports the earth, known as Tyranitar.
The earth stirred and the mountains writhed.
Kyogre transformed into a vein of water that embraced the ocean.
Its ripples, disappearing into the ocean, transformed into Gyarados, a god that supports the sea.
The ocean filled with water and the waves whispered.

Thus, a world with one heaven, earth, and sea was born. *4

Ea and Ea were happy about this, and they had their children, including Rei, Ai, and Hai, populate the world.

In this fertile world, the children of the gods continued to multiply. Little by little, their appearance, power, and speech changed.

Eventually, the gods began to call the creatures that lived in that world by three names.

People. Pokemon. Nature.

Everything was friends, food, and family. With everything abundant, the world was enveloped in happiness.
In the midst of limitless happiness, humans gradually forgot their respect for the gods and their friendship for nature and Pokemon.
Eventually, arrogance and greed arose in their hearts. And to satisfy that, they began to go to war.
They cut down trees and dug mountains. They carved rocks and made weapons. They washed their blood-stained blades, muddying the water.

One by one, weak Pokémon died, with no place to live.

Strong Pokémon were used as tools of war and died.

The corpses of people and Pokémon flooded the area.

Seeing this, Ea and Ea were filled with rage and sorrow.

Their grief became an earthquake, tearing the earth apart.

In his rage, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His steel-like skin and thick, sturdy limbs. His upper arms shone like diamonds.
In the depths of wailing, Ea transformed into a giant dragon Pokémon.
His watery, transparent skin and two supple legs. Pearl-like spheres covered his shoulders and back.

Ea roared, and rain of light poured down over the area, burning everything to ashes.
When Ea roared, time around them became distorted, and all activity ceased.

The few people who survived offered prayers to appease the god.

They apologized to nature for their arrogance. They apologized to Pokémon for their sins.

Then Ray, Ai, and Hai appeared before the people.

The three gods offered prayers together with the people.

Then the prayer became a powerful whirlpool that gently enveloped Ea and Ea.

The two, having heard the prayer, calmed down and disappeared into the highest mountain in the world.

The trees revived and the air became clear. The wind blew and the murmuring of the river was revived. The world regained its fertile form.
However, as if to show the deep anger and sadness engraved in Ea and Ea, the divided land did not return to its original state. *4

The three gods scattered to three different places in the world to heal Ea and Ea, and to watch over the actions of the people.

People once again began to respect the gods, love nature, and live with Pokemon as friends.
And to avoid repeating the same mistakes, this event was turned into a song and a warning.

Make all things your friends.
Do not make Ea angry. Do not make Ea sad.
The torn earth will not return.
Make all things your friends.
Rei is watching. Ai is there. Hai is listening.
Pray with the three gods.

pmyth5.3

In the beginning, there was a swell of chaos.
Everything slowly mixed together, and everything was vague.
One day, a large egg appeared in the center. The egg continued to sway there.
When the swell stopped, the egg spilled out and broke.
The absolute god Aus was born there.
The pieces of the shell that scattered transformed into black giants.
The black giant attacked Aus shortly after it was born.
However, Aus grew rapidly and fought the giant.
After a fierce battle, Aus finally defeated the giant.
Aus decided to create the world in this chaotic place.

First, Aus created two gods from the giant's arms.
From the giant's right hand, Ea, the god of space, was born.
When Ea was born, space was born in the empty place.
It was to continue expanding forever.
From the giant's left hand, Ea, the god of time, was born.
When Ea was born, everything stirred and time began to flow.
This process continued forever.

And thus the Vessel that would become the foundation of the world was created.

Next, Aus created three gods.
From the giant's eye, Ray, the god of eyes, was born, from the giant's heart, Ai, the god of hearts, and Hai, the god of voice, was born from the giant's throat.

Aus commanded the three gods to create life that would live in the world.
However, the Vessel that would become the foundation of the world still did not have the boundaries between heaven, earth, and sea, making it difficult for life to live there.

So Aus created three more gods from the giant's nose.
Aus named the three Rayquaza, the god of the sky, Groudon, the god of the earth, and Kyogre, the god of the sea.
He then commanded the three to remake the Vessel that would become the foundation of the world so that life could live there.

When Rayquaza landed on the Vessel that would become the foundation of the world, it transformed into the main pillar that holds up the sky.
Its shadow soaring through the sky became a god that supports the heavens, known as Dragonite.
And thus the heavens were born.
As Groudon landed on the vessel that would become the foundation of the world, it transformed into a rock formation covering the earth.
Its roar as it burrowed into the earth transformed it into the god that supports the earth, called Tyranitar.
And thus the earth was born.
As Kyogre landed on the vessel that would become the foundation of the world, it transformed into a vein of water that embraces the sea.
Its ripples, which disappeared into the ocean, transformed it into the god that supports the sea, called Gyarados.
And thus the seas were born.

The world went from being a mere vessel to having heaven, earth, and sea.

As the heavens, earth, and seas were born, the life created by Ray, Ai, and Hai began to grow in the world.

Seeing this, Aus was overjoyed.
He then transformed his body into an egg once more and fell into a deep sleep.

A world created by the gods.
All life there was friend, food, and family.
In a world filled with everything and enveloped in happiness, life continued to multiply.
They continued to multiply while slowly changing their appearance, power, and speech.
Eventually, the gods began to call the life that lived in that world by three names.
People. Pokémon. Nature.

A long and happy time.
During that time, humans little by little forgot their respect for the gods and their friendship towards nature and Pokémon.
And so pride and greed grew in their hearts.
Before they knew it, they began to look down on gods, nature, and Pokémon.

And so people began to cut down trees and dig into mountains, following their desires.
They continued to change the shape of the world and expand their territory.
The weak, driven from their homes, died one after another with nowhere to go.
They began to chip away at rocks and melt minerals to make strong weapons.
In their arrogance, they continued to use those weapons to kill large numbers of people and Pokémon in an instant.

Watching this, Ea, the god of space, was greatly angered, and Ea, the god of time, was greatly saddened.

And so they decided to destroy the world once and for all.

When Ea descended upon the world, he appeared as a giant dragon Pokémon.
Its body shone with rainbow colors, and beyond its open mouth was an endless space.
When Ea roared, the surrounding space distorted greatly.
The sea, the sky, people, and Pokémon all vanished one by one.

When Ea descended into the world, it was a giant dragon Pokémon.
With its shining body and luminous skin, all time flowed through it.
When Ea roared, time around it was greatly disturbed.
The earth, air, people, and Pokémon all decayed in an instant.

Every time the two roared, the world crumbled.

The few people left in the world apologized to everything.
On the first day, they apologized to the gods, and on the second day, they apologized to Pokémon.
On the third day, they apologized to nature, and on the fourth day, they apologized to humans.
On the morning of the fifth day, the god of eyes, Rei, the god of hearts, Ea, and the god of voice, Hai, appeared before the people.
The three gods were heartbroken by Ea and Ea's continued rampage, and offered a prayer.
People, Pokémon, trees, seas, and minerals all began to pray together.
The prayer soon turned into a loud sound, engulfing Ea and Ea.
Then the two disappeared among the trees, deeper in the deep forest of the highest mountain in the world.

With the two gone, the world returned to its lush state.

Rei, Ai, and Hai ordered the people to continue singing the sound of their prayer.
And so, to watch over Ea and Ea, they began to live in three different places around the world.

pmyth06

There were two peoples in the world.

The Forest People lived with Pokémon, traveling between the forests and the sea.
The abundant nature was protected by Ea, the god of time, who lived on the moon.
People and Pokémon were grateful to Ea, and collected round, beautiful stones from the sea to offer to her.

The villagers used the polished stones to till the land, grow crops, and make a living.
This glow that brings harvest was protected by Ea, the god of light who resides in the sun.
The people gave their gratitude to Ea, digging up hard, shining stones from the earth and offering them to her.

Over the long, peaceful days, the village's population continued to grow.
Eventually, in order to produce more crops, the forests were cut down and the mountains were carved up to expand the village.

One day, a Pokémon wandered into the villagers' path.
The starving Pokémon ravaged the fields and attacked one of the villagers.
The people of the east found it, killed the Pokémon and sent it back to the Forest Folk.
The slain Pokémon was the wife of one of the Forest Folk.
The Forest Folk and Pokémon lamented and mourned, holding the beautiful, round stone in their arms.
The shape of the stone became hideously distorted, and Ea appeared from beyond the starry night sky.
Its form was that of a giant dragon.

It was a Dragon Pokémon.
It had two flexible legs and skin as clear as water. Pearl-like orbs covered its shoulders and back.
As Ea roared in a sad voice, the eastern sky became as dark and cold as night.
The river froze and the fields quickly rotted. Many people died of cold and hunger.
The villagers were furious, holding the hard, shining stone.
The light from the stone disappeared as if it was absorbed, and Ea appeared from the bright sunlight.
It was a giant dragon Pokémon.
It had steel-like skin and thick, sturdy limbs. Its upper arms shone like diamonds.
As Ea roared in a terrifying voice, a giant sun covered the western sky.
A scorching light illuminated the area, the mountains burned, and the water dried up. People and Pokémon with nowhere to go died of heat and hunger.

The two dragon Pokémon continued to scream.
The world was crumbling.

The survivors consulted together and decided to consult the god who lived on the highest mountain.
The god told them to bring the bodies of the slain Pokémon.
The people searched for and found the bodies, but everything except the eyes, voice, and heart had already decayed.

When the god touched his eyes, it was reborn into a Pokémon never seen before.
The god named him Ray.
The god ordered Ray to go to the clearest place in the world and offer a prayer.

When the god touched his heart, it was reborn into a Pokémon never seen before.
The god named him Ai.
The god ordered Ai to go to the most beautiful place in the world and offer a prayer.

When the god touched his voice, it was reborn into a Pokémon never seen before.
The god named him Hai.
The god ordered Hai to go to the kindest place in the world and offer a prayer.

As the three prayed, a gentle sound echoed around.
People, Pokémon, trees, and minerals all began to pray together.
The cries of anger and sorrow were enveloped in the gentle sounds of prayer.

The two dragon Pokémon left for the depths of the highest mountain.

The trees revived and the air became clear.
The wind blew and the murmuring of the river was revived.
The world regained its fertile form.

The people gave thanks to God, Rei, Ai, and Hai.
And so that they would not forget the sound of their prayers, they decided to continue singing them as songs.

pmyth07.1 Ia Ea

When the boundaries between humans, nature, and Pokémon were unclear, there were two peoples in the world.

The people who lived in the eastern part of the world traveled through nature, living with Pokemon, who were both their family and their food.
To the people of the east, there was no difference between humans and Pokemon, and humans were the husband and wife of Pokemon.
The moon and stars, which indicate the location of abundant nature, were protected by Ea, the god of time.
Flying through the starry sky with the moon on its back, it was a giant dragon Pokemon.
It had skin as clear as ice and two supple legs. Pearl-like spheres covered its shoulders and back.
As Ea flew, the moon changed shape and the stars twinkled, allowing them to tell the time and direction.
The people of the east and Pokemon gave thanks to Ea, collecting beautiful, round stones from the sea as offerings.
The people of the western part of the world used polished stones to till the earth, grow crops, and live in villages.
The sun, which brought abundant harvests, was protected by Ea, the god of light.
Emerging from the earth with the morning sun was a giant dragon Pokemon.
It had skin that shone like steel and thick, strong limbs. Its upper arms shone like diamonds.
As Ea walked, the sun grew stronger and brighter, shining warmly everywhere.
The people of the west gave thanks to Ea, digging up hard, shining stones from the earth and offering them to her.

Over the long, peaceful days, the people of the west continued to multiply.
Eventually, to grow more crops, they cut down forests and carved mountains to expand their villages.

One day,
a female Ringma wandered into the village of the people of the west.
Having lost her home, she stole crops from the fields for her starving family and attacked a villager.
The people who saw this were furious, so they killed the Ringma and dumped its body in the forest on the outskirts of the village.

Ringma's husband, a human man living in the eastern forest,
went out to look for his wife, who had gone out to look for food and never returned.
Eventually, he reached the edge of the forest and found his wife's body.
There were many tools he had never seen before stuck in her body.
The husband pulled it out, crying so loudly that the whole area shook.
Suddenly, from the other side of the forest, many people appeared, wearing different clothes than him.
In their hands they held the unfamiliar tool that had pierced his wife's body. Their eyes were clouded with rage.
The husband took his wife's body and fled back into the depths of the forest.

Returning to his companions, the husband lamented and wept over his wife's body, holding a beautiful round stone.
He grew increasingly resentful of the people who had appeared from the other side of the forest who had killed his wife.
His companions shared the same grief and grew increasingly resentful. All they could see was the child whose mother had been murdered.

The beautiful round stone was distorted into an ugly shape, and Ea appeared from beyond the full moon.
Ea's eyes, infected with deep grief, were pale and cloudy.
Ea howled in a saddening voice and fled into the western sky.
The moon was stained with blood and the stars fell. *1
The area was engulfed in darkness, and it became as cold as midwinter.
The sea and the land froze, and people were unable to move, as if time had stopped.
Crops stopped growing and rotted in the blink of an eye.

Seeing this, the people of the east and their Pokémon headed to the other side of the forest, forgetting to mourn for the slain Linguma.
Only the children who had lost their mothers headed to the highest mountain where the gods live to mourn their mother's body.

On the other side of the forest were fields and many people.
The people were motionless, frozen and starving.
The people of the east and their Pokémon ravaged the fields and killed the weak.
The person who killed the most was Linguma's husband.

The people of the west, whose friends had been killed and who had lost the fields they had raised, were furious, holding the hard, shining stone.
And they grew to resent the people who had come from the forest.

The glow of the hard, shining stone disappeared as if it was absorbed, and together with the giant sun, Ea appeared, shattering the earth.
Her eyes, consumed by deep rage, were cloudy red and black.
Ea roared in a terrifying voice and disappeared into the eastern forest.
The sun was swallowed by a huge shadow. *2
The area was engulfed in scorching light and heat, the sea dried up, and the plants and trees withered.
The mountains were engulfed in flames, and nature, people, and Pokémon were reduced to ash, and the area was covered in black smoke.
Linguma's husband was reduced to ash before anyone else.
The two dragon Pokémon continued to scream.
The people of the west and east, Pokémon, mountains, and rivers all died one after another.
The child, carrying his mother's body, reached the top of the highest mountain.
The body had almost completely decayed, but her clear eyes, beautiful heart, and gentle voice seemed to still be alive.
The child looked up to the sky and heard a sound coming from somewhere.
Are you not sad that your mother was killed?
The child shook his head.

Do you have no anger over your mother's murder?
The child shook his head.

Do you want to see your mother once more?
The child nodded deeply.
Then, the corpse of his mother in front of him began to change rapidly.

Its eyes were reborn into a Ghost Pokémon never seen before.
Its whole body glowed white, and its eyes shone like a rainbow.
The being called itself Ray.
Ray walked lovingly around the child before flying off into the northern sky.

Its heart was reborn into a Ghost Pokémon never seen before.
Its whole body was like a golden mist, and in the center a rainbow-like orb shone.
The being called itself Ai.
Ai walked lovingly around the child before flying off into the southwestern sky.

Its voice was reborn into a Ghost Pokémon never seen before.
Its whole body was as vague as smoke, and its teeth, sparkling like a rainbow, could be seen from its huge mouth.
The being introduced himself as Hai.
Hai lovingly circled the child before flying off into the southeastern sky.

As the three flew away, a sound was heard from the sky again. It was a very gentle sound.

From the direction of the crystal clear lake, the child felt his beloved mother's gaze.
From the direction of the beautiful lake, the child felt the warmth of his beloved mother.
From the direction of the calm lake, the child heard his beloved mother's voice.
The child prayed along with the sound.

The surroundings trembled, and the sound spread rapidly.
The sound of prayer engulfed the forest and the village, and people, Pokémon, trees, and minerals all began to pray together.
The world was filled with the sound of prayer.
In the vortex, the cries of anger and sadness slowly melted away.

Ear's cloudy red-black eyes became calm, and the light and heat subsided.
Air's cloudy pale-white eyes became calm, and everything began to move.

The two dragon Pokémon left for the depths of the highest mountain.

The trees revitalized and the air became clear. The wind blew and the murmuring of the river returned. The world returned to its fertile state.

The people of the East and the people of the West were grateful to the child, and to Rei, Ai, and Hai, and decided to carefully protect the world's three lakes.
And so to avoid repeating the same mistake, they divided their homes, with the highest mountain as the boundary.

The sound of the prayer that appeased the two gods has been passed down as a song.

Do not be sad, do not be angry
Make all your friends
Do not be sad, do not be angry
Ea is sad, Ea is angry
Do not be sad, do not be angry
The moon turns bloody, the sun disappears
Do not be sad, do not be angry
Rei is watching
Do not be sad, do not be angry
Ai is there
Do not be sad, do not be angry
Hai is listening
Do not be sad, do not be angry
Keep your heart calm and pray to God

When the boundaries between humans, nature, and Pokémon were unclear, there were two peoples in the world.

The people who lived in the east of the world traveled through nature and lived with Pokémon, who were their family and food.
The moon and stars, which indicate the presence of abundant nature, were protected by Ea, the god of time.
Flying through the starry sky with the moon on its back, it was a giant dragon Pokémon.
It had skin as clear as ice and two supple legs. . Pearl-like spheres covered its shoulders and back.
As Ea flew, the moon changed shape and the stars twinkled, allowing people to tell the time and direction.
The people and Pokémon of the east gave thanks to Ea, collecting beautiful round stones from the sea as offerings.

The people of the west of the world used polished stones to till the earth, grow crops, and build villages where they lived.
The sun, which brought abundant harvests, was protected by Ea, the god of light.
Emerging from the earth at the morning sun was a giant dragon Pokémon.
It had shining skin like steel and thick, powerful limbs. Its upper arms shone like diamonds.
As Ea walked, the sun grew stronger and shone brighter, spreading its wings and overcoming all kinds of obstacles.

It lit up the whole place with a warm light.
In gratitude to Ea, the people of the west dug up hard, shining stones from the earth and offered them to her.

Over the long, peaceful days, the people of the west continued to multiply.
Eventually, in order to grow more crops, they cut down forests and carved mountains to expand their villages.

One day,
A large, white Pokémon wandered into the village of the people of the west.
The Pokémon, having lost its home, stole crops from the fields for its starving child and attacked a human.
When the people of the west saw this, they were filled with rage, killed the large, white Pokémon and dumped its body in the eastern forest.
When the human husband found the disfigured body, he and his friends embraced the beautiful, round stone and lamented.
Those living in the east grew to resent the people of the west.
All they could see was the child whose mother had been murdered.
The beautiful, round stone's shape became hideously distorted, and Ea appeared from beyond the full moon.
Invaded by deep grief, Ea's eyes were pale and cloudy.
Ea roared in a saddest voice and flew away into the western sky.
The moon was stained with blood and the stars fell. *1 The area was engulfed in darkness, and it became as cold as midwinter.
The sea and the land froze, and people were unable to move as if time had stopped.
Crops in the fields stopped growing and rotted in the blink of an eye.
Seeing this, the people of the east took their Pokémon and headed for the village where the people of the west lived.
A single child from the east had lost his mother, and headed to the highest mountain where the gods live to mourn her body.
The people of the east ravaged the fields and killed the starving people of the west.
The person they killed the most was the husband of a large white Pokémon.

With their friends killed and the fields they had raised lost, the people of the west went into a rage, holding the hard, shining stone in their hands.
Their resentment towards the people of the east grew.
The glow of the hard, shining stone disappeared as if absorbed, and together with the giant sun, Ea appeared, shattering the earth.
Her eyes, infected with deep rage, were cloudy red-black.
Ea roared in a terrifying voice and disappeared into the eastern forest.
The sun was swallowed by a giant shadow. *2
The surroundings were enveloped in scorching light and heat.
The sea dried up, and the vegetation withered.
Flames spread across the mountain, turning nature, people, and Pokémon to ash, and the area was covered in black smoke.
The husband of the big white Pokémon was reduced to ash before anyone else.
The two dragon Pokémon continued to scream, and one by one the people of the west, the east, and Pokémon died.
The child from the east, carrying the corpse of the big white Pokémon on his back, reached the top of the highest mountain.
The corpse had already almost completely decayed, but his clear eyes, beautiful heart, and gentle voice still seemed to be alive.
The child from the east looked up to the sky and heard a sound from somewhere.

Do you feel no sadness over your mother's murder?

The child from the east shook his head.

Do you feel no anger over your mother's murder?

The child from the east shook his head.

Do you want to see your mother once more?

The child from the east nodded deeply.

Then, the corpse of his mother in front of him changed rapidly.

Its eyes were reborn into a Ghost Pokémon never seen before.

Its whole body glowed white, and its eyes shone like a rainbow.

It called itself Ray.
It then circled around the child lovingly, before flying away into the northern sky.

Its heart was reborn into a Ghost Pokémon never seen before.
Its whole body was like a golden mist, and in the center a rainbow-like orb shone.

It called itself Ai.
It then circled around the child lovingly, before flying away into the southwestern sky.

That voice was reborn into a ghost Pokémon that no one had ever seen before.
Its whole body was as vague as smoke, and from its huge mouth peeked out teeth that shone like a rainbow.
It introduced itself as High.
Then it lovingly circled the child before flying off into the southeastern sky.

As the three flew off, a sound was heard from the sky again. It was a very gentle sound.

From the direction of the crystal clear lake, the child felt the gaze of his beloved mother.

The world was filled with sound.
The cries of anger and sadness melted away in the swirl of sound. Ea's cloudy red-black eyes calmed, and the light and heat subsided.
Ea's cloudy pale eyes calmed, and everything began to move.

The two dragon Pokémon left for the depths of the highest mountain.

The trees revived and the air became clear. The wind blew and the murmuring of the river returned. The world regained its fertile form.

The people of the East and West were grateful to the child, Rei, Ai, and Hai, and decided to carefully protect the world's three lakes.

And so that the same mistake would not be repeated, they divided their habitats with the highest mountain as the boundary.

The sounds of prayer that appeased the gods were passed down as songs.

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Make all your friends

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Ea is sad, Ea is angry

Do not be sad, do not be angry

The moon turns bloody, the sun disappears

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Rei is watching

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Ai is there

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Hai is listening

Do not be sad, do not be angry

Pray with a calm mind and God

Theme: Relationship between humans and Pokemon/Humanistic (ish) Way of Thinking
Once upon a time. When the boundary between Pokemon and humans was unclear.

There was a village somewhere.
One day, a girl from that village went to the mountains to gather firewood.
She found a dry dead tree deep in the mountains, so she She went deeper and deeper.

When she realized it, the sun was setting and the girl was lost.

There was Inumu droppings all over the place, and the girl became worried.

Then, a man washed up on the other side of the forest.

The man's face didn't look like any of the men who lived in the village, but he was very handsome.

The man said.

"You're lost, aren't you? I know the way down the mountain, but it will be midnight if you walk that way. I'll bring you back tomorrow morning, so why don't you stay at my place tonight?"

The girl had no choice but to do as the man said.

The man took the girl's hand and started walking.
As the sun was setting, they arrived at a large cave.

"This is my home. You're hungry, aren't you? Wait for me."

The man said, and left the cave.

A little while after the man left, the sound of trees swaying was heard in the distance up the mountain.

Soon the man returned carrying a lot of red nuts.

The man said. "Let's eat this and go to sleep. If you wake up before me, don't look at me."

The next morning, when the girl woke up, the man was still asleep.

Keeping her promise, the girl lay down and waited, but eventually fell asleep again.

The girl woke up to the man's voice. Looking outside, the sun was already setting.

"Let's eat some green fruit today. Wait for me."

And with that, he went out of the cave.

A little while after the man left, the sound of trees swaying was heard in the distance in the mountains.
When the sun had completely set, the man returned with a lot of green fruit.
The man said,

"Let's eat this and go to sleep. If you wake up before me, don't look at me."

The girl said that she wanted to go home early because her family was worried about her,
and the man yawned loudly and hit her on the head.
The girl then completely forgot about her family and her home.
Then the two of them ate green berries and went to sleep.

The next day, they woke up as the sun was setting, and the man went to get some berries, and they ate them together and went back to sleep.

They continued living like this for several days, and eventually the girl realized that the man was Inomoo.

As winter approached, Inomoo dug out the back of the cave.

Then he told the girl.

"Go and gather some firewood. Break off the top branches of the tallest trees you can find."

The girl tried to do as Inomoo told her, but she was afraid of tall trees, so she could only climb low ones.

When she returned after collecting some branches, Inomoo said.

"No, you can't. If you don't climb a branch from a higher tree, humans will find you."

When it started to snow, the two of them slept in the depths of the hole, which had become deeper.

There was plenty of food. They would wake up occasionally to eat and sleep again.

One day, the girl woke up to find a child in her arms.
After a few days and nights, the girl woke up and Inomou said.

"Your father is looking for you. But you are my wife, so I can't give you back. I have to fight him."

The girl said.

"Please don't kill my father. How can you live with me after your family is killed? You are a good person. So let's stay here and sleep."

"Okay. Let's sleep here."

The man nodded.

The next night, Inomou woke the girl up and said.

"Your father is right next to me. Look outside."

When the girl went outside, it was snowing heavily. She climbed a low tree and broke a branch.

When she returned to the cave, Inomou was singing. It was a song she had never heard before.

"You broke the branch. Your father will be here soon. I'm going to do something bad to your father. If I'm killed, you can have my eyes, my voice, and my heart. Then I want you to light a fire on the place where I was killed and burn it. And I want you to sing this song until it burns out."

The girl said.

"Please stop. You're not going to kill my father. Please stop. I want you to be killed."

"Goodbye. We'll never meet again."

With that, Inomou went outside.

After a while, there was a loud noise, and the girl looked outside.
Then the girl's father had killed Inomou.
The girl ran outside and said to her father.

"You killed my son. I've lived with him until now. He's my husband. Please give me my husband, Inomou's eyes, heart, and voice."

The girl made a fire on the place where Inomou was killed and put her eyes, heart, and voice into the flames. While the fire was burning, she sang the song she had learned from Inomoo.

The girl's father built a hut on the outskirts of the village and had the girl and her child live there.
Soon spring came.
The young men of the village often teased and bullied the girl and her child.
It got worse day by day, and one day they tried to cover them with Inomoo fur.
The girl returned home and complained to her parents.
"Please tell the villagers not to tease us. If we wear that fur, we will definitely become Inomoo. We are already half Inomoo."

The villagers did not listen to her parents' story.
On the contrary, they became more and more amused and covered the girl and her child with Inomoo fur.
The girl and her child then cried loudly and disappeared into the depths of the forest.
They never returned to the village.

This is how the people learned.
Inomoo is half human.

Theme: Breakdown of culture/relationships

Back when the boundary between Pokemon and humans was unclear.

There was a man in a seaside village.

One day, as the man was walking along the beach, he found a female Octillery washed up on the beach.

The man mated with Octillery and threw her into the sea.

The next day, he went to the same place and found the same Octillery.

The man mated with Octillery again and threw her into the sea in the same way.

A few nights later, the man had a dream. In his dream, Octillery said to him.

"I can't go to you, but I'll deliver your baby. Your baby and mine."

The next morning, the man went to the place where he met Octillery.

There he found a boy.

The man took the child home and raised him.

Time passed, the boy grew into a young man, and his father died.

The young man was always alone.

One day, as the young man was walking along the beach, he saw a large group of people playing in the distance.
All the people were dancing, holding very large swords in their hands.
The young man walked towards the people.
He then saw some Sharpedo frolicking on the shore.
When the young man tried to get closer, the Sharpedo all jumped into the sea at once.
However, one Sharkhader did not leave immediately, but looked around three times before leaving.
When he went to the place where the Sharpedo had been playing, he found a large sword lying there.
It had a shape he had never seen before, and was very sharp.
The young man took the sword home with him.

The next day, the young man went to the forest with his sword.
As he was walking through the forest, he came across a Ursaring.
As a test, the young man slashed Ursaring's mouth with the sword. The mouth fell off easily.
This time he tried poking Ursaring's eyeball with the sword. The eye went out easily.
Finally, the young man stabbed Ursaring in the chest with the sword. Ursaring died instantly.
That day, the young man killed 30 Ringtails.
After that, the young man always carried a sword with him, playing with it by injuring the Pokemon he came across and cutting off parts of their bodies.

One autumn, the young man got lost while looking for firewood.
After walking for a while, he came across a Ringtail's den.
He looked and saw an old Ringtail lying inside.
The old Ringtail saw the young man and said,
"Come in."
The young man was lost, but as it was getting dark outside, he went into the den.
Soon, people started to enter the den one after another.
Soon the room was filled with people.
He looked and saw that all the people's faces were covered in scars, and some were missing eyes.
The people were chatting, but the young man ignored them and went to sleep.
One day, he woke up to find the old Ringtail sleeping next to him.
The young man went to sleep again.
When he woke up again, there were many people there again, and they were talking about something.
The young man ignored them and went to sleep again.

Eventually, spring came, and the old Ring-bear said, "Do you want to go home? Well, we'll send you back home. When you get home, you'll soon find the Wailord near the village. Go there. We'll send a man. You put down your sword and take the witness. Why did you do that, cut your face and chop off your nose?"

The old Ring-bear walked the young man to the village.

When he returned to the village, the young man told the people everything that had happened.

The next morning, the young man and the villagers headed to the beach.
As they were walking along the beach, they saw a big Wailord.
And on the sand nearby, they found a Himeguma.
When the Himeguma noticed the young man, it hid in the forest, and instead, the big Ring-bear came out.
When the Ring-bear attacked the young man, the young man tried to draw his hidden sword.
However, the sword got caught and he couldn't pull it out, so the young man grabbed the Ring-bear.
The young man and Linguma grappled and punched each other in the face.
They strangled each other with all their might.
Then, with both of them dead, they collapsed on top of each other.
The villager returned and told the people what he had seen.

Theme: Humans hunting Pokemon / Native American ecological philosophy

A long time ago, the boundaries between humans and Pokemon were unclear.
At the foot of the mountain, there was a grassland and a large lake, and two men lived on the east and west of the lake.
The two men made a living by hunting Pokemon.
The man living in the west was a young man, but he was a man who followed the rules of hunting well.
The man living in the east was a skilled hunter, but he neglected the rules.
One day, when the man living in the west went out hunting, he found a Gallop on the grassland.
Its lush mane shone even more beautifully in the sunlight.
When the man living in the west readied his bow, Gallop said.

"Now we have children. If I die, we will disappear from this plain."

The man living in the west lowered his bow and said.

"Then I will not kill you. However, I want your beautiful mane, so I want you to become my wife."

Gallop became the wife of the man living in the west.

About two months passed, and when ponitas could be seen on the plains.
The man living in the west was riding on his wife Gallop's back and running across the plains.
Eventually, when they reached a place where many gallops and ponitas were resting, his wife said.

"They are my husbands. Hunt them if you need to. If you treat them well, they will not die. However, please do not kill the female gallops and ponitas. The female gallops are my sisters, and the ponitas are my children. In other words, the female gallops are your step-sisters, and the ponitas are your children."

One day after a few days passed. The man who lived in the east was out hunting.
When he went out to the grassland, he found a ponyta.
The man immediately shot an arrow and killed it.
While searching for more prey, he met a gallop.
It was a female gallop.
Gallop tried to say something, but the man who lived in the east ignored him and shot an arrow.
The man who lived in the east cut off the mane of the gallop he had killed from its body.
He then wrapped it around his head and headed home, wanting to show off his beautiful mane to the man who lived in the west.
Eventually, tired from walking, the man who lived in the east decided to rest under a big tree by the lake.
As the man who lived in the west and his wife, Gallop, were walking by the lake, they saw Gallop's mane in the shade of a big tree.

"He's a male. He doesn't have any children, so if you need to hunt, go and hunt him."

His wife said this, so he shot Gallop with an arrow.
When he ran up to his kill, he found a man from the east lying on the ground with a gallop's mane wrapped around his head.

"Take this mane home with you. And when you hunt gallops, do as I say."

With that, Gallop said goodbye to the man from the west and left for the plains.

pmyth Kecking

Once upon a time, there was a family of hunters, and their young daughter went out to the mountains to gather firewood.
Deep in the mountains, she found a dry, dead tree, so she went deeper and deeper.
When she noticed, the sun was setting and the girl had lost her way.
There was kecking droppings all over the place, and the girl became worried.
Then, from the other side of the forest, a man washed up.
The man's face didn't look like any of the men in the village, but he was very handsome. The man said.

"You must be lost. I know the way down the mountain, but if you walk that far, you'll end up there by midnight. I'll bring you back tomorrow morning, so why don't you stay at my place tonight?"

The girl had no choice but to do as the man said. The man took the girl's hand and started walking.
As the sun was setting, they reached a large cave.

"This is my home. You must be hungry. Wait for me."

The man said, and left the cave.

A little while after he left, the sound of trees swaying in the distance was heard in the mountains.

Soon the man returned with a lot of red nuts.

The man said,

"Eat this and go to sleep. Don't look at me if you wake up before me."

The next morning when the girl woke up, the man was still asleep.
The girl kept her promise and waited, but eventually fell asleep again.

The girl woke up to the man's voice. Looking outside, the sun was already setting.

"Let's eat some green nuts today. Wait for me."

Saying this, he went out of the cave.

A little while after the man left, the sound of trees swaying in the distance was heard in the mountains.
When the sun had completely set, the man returned carrying a lot of green nuts.

The man said,

"After eating these, let's go to sleep. If you wake up before me, don't look at me."

The girl said that she wanted to go home early because her family was worried about her, and the man yawned loudly and hit her on the head.
The girl then completely forgot about her family and her home.
Then the two of them ate some green nuts and went to sleep.

The next day, they woke up as the sun was setting, and the man went to get some nuts, ate them together, and went back to sleep.
They lived like this for a long time, and the girl eventually realized that the man was Keking.

As the seasons changed and it began to get cold, Keking dug out the back of the cave. He then said to the girl.

"Go and gather some firewood. Break off the top branches of the tallest tree you can find."

The girl tried to do as Lingma told her, but she was scared, so she picked the lowest tree she could climb.

It was her first time climbing a tree, but she was able to climb very easily.

After collecting some branches and returning, Keking said.

"No, if you don't climb a higher tree, humans will find you."

When the snow started to fall, the two lived in the depths of the hole, sleeping.

There was plenty of food. They would wake up occasionally and sleep again.

One day, when the girl woke up, she was holding a child in her arms.

After several days and nights, the girl woke up to hear something barking in the distance.

Kekking told the girl.

"Your father and brothers are looking for you. You are my wife, so I can't give you back. You have to fight them."

The girl said. "Please stop. Don't kill my family. How can I live with you after my family is killed? You're a good person. So let's stay here and sleep."

"Okay. Let's sleep here."

The man nodded.

Late that night, Kecking woke the girl up and said,

"Your family is right next to you. Look outside."

When the girl went outside, it was snowing all around. She climbed a low tree and broke its branch.

When she returned to the cave, Kecking was singing. It was a song she had never heard before.

"You broke the branch. Your family will be here soon. When I'm killed, you'll have my eyes, my voice, and my heart. Build a fire where I was killed and burn it. Sing this song until it burns out."

Saying this, Kecking started to collect large rocks from the cave.

"Please stop. Are you going to kill my family? Please stop. Please kill yourself."

"Goodbye. I will never see you again."

And with that, Keking went outside.

After a while, she heard a loud noise and looked outside. Her father and brother had already killed Keking.

The girl ran outside and told her father.

"You killed your son. I have lived with him until now. He is my husband. Please give me Keking's eyes, heart and voice."

She continued to tell her brother.

"You killed your brother. You killed your family. Please give me Keking's eyes, heart and voice."

The girl made a fire at the place where Keking was killed and put his eyes, heart and voice into the flames.

She sang the song she had learned from Keking while it burned out.

The girl's father built a hut away from the house and had the girl and her children live there.

Soon, spring came.

The younger brother tried to make fun of the girl and her child by dressing them up as kekings.
He killed a male and female keking and wanted to put their skins on the girl and her child.
The girl went home and complained to her mother.
"Please let us stop. If we wear the skins we will become kekings. We are already half kekings. We have long hair all over our bodies."

But the younger brother found it amusing and put the skin of a Keking on the girl and the child.
The hair on the girl's body grew rapidly and she barked loudly. Suddenly, the girl became a Keking.
There was nothing the girl could do. The Keking killed her younger brother and her mother.
However, she didn't kill her father, who had always been kind to her. Tears flowed from the girl's face.
The girl disappeared, taking the child who had become a Keking with her.

Because of this, the Kekings became half human.
That's why people don't eat Keking meat.
Kekings are half human.

pmyth centaurs

There was a family of hunters.
The family consisted of an elderly father, mother, older brother, and younger sister.
The mother and sister went out to the forest to gather nuts as usual.
The father and older brother went out hunting as usual.
They crossed the mountain as usual and came out into the field, where they found a centaurs.
The centaurs charged towards them with incredible speed.
The brother was so frightened that he just stood there frozen.
His father jumped in front of the centaur and was injured while trying to protect him.
But the father quickly shot an arrow, and the centaur fell to the ground.
The father approached the prey he had killed and first cut off its horns.
He then said a prayer and threw it into the air.
Then, as he used a large knife to separate the skin from the flesh, he told his brother.
"When you kill a centaur, always cut off its horns first. And don't forget to pray."

The next day. His mother and sister went out to the forest to gather nuts as usual.
Their aged father was injured, and there was still some prey he had killed the day before, so he told them to rest.
But the brother, wanting to become an adult, set off hunting.

When they entered the mountains, they found a hawk.
The brother quickly shot an arrow and killed the hawk.
As his father had taught him long ago, the older brother cut off the tail of the Oshawott he had killed, offered a prayer, and buried it in the ground.
Then, cutting up the skin and flesh, he headed deeper into the mountains again.

At a lake halfway through the forest, while he was washing the sword he had used to butcher the Oshawott, a Marill appeared by the lake's edge.
The older brother quickly readied his bow and fired an arrow, killing the Marill.
As his father had taught him long ago, the older brother cut off the tail of the Inugami he had killed, offered a prayer, and buried it in the ground.
Then, cutting up the skin and flesh, he headed deeper into the mountains again.

When they crossed the mountains and came out into a field, they found another Oshawott.
The older brother quickly fired an arrow, but missed, and the Oshawott ran away.

As they walked through the field, they found a Rapidash.
The older brother swiftly fired an arrow and killed the Rapidash.
When the father approached his prey, he first cut off its horns and prayed.
Then he prayed and buried it in the ground.
After that, he cut up the skin and meat and returned home.

When he arrived home late at night, the whole room was ransacked.
There were footprints of the Rapidos everywhere.
His father was collapsed at the back of the room.
His father said.

"Because you broke your promise to the Rapidos, the women grew horns and became Rapidos. Female Rapidos are half human. If you cut off the horns, you become human, and if you let the horns grow, you become a Rapidos. But now the two of them have both become Rapidos."

The next morning, the mother and daughter went to the field and found two Rapidos there.
When they saw them, they ran off to the other side of the field.

A long time ago, when the boundary between Pokemon and humans was still unclear.
Once upon a time, there was a woman and her friends.
Since they were bored every day, they would often catch Sloths that lived in the nearby forest.
They would play pranks on the Sloths they caught, killing them, crushing their eyes, and cutting off their ears.

One day, while the woman was walking alone in the forest, she found a Sloth hanging from a tree.
The woman climbed the tree to catch the Sloth, but slipped and injured herself.
Then a Sloth appeared.
The Sloth had its ear torn off.
Surprised, the woman tried to run away, but the pain in her injured leg was so great that she couldn't move.
When the Sloth with its torn ear saw the woman, it suddenly attacked her.
The woman fainted.

When she woke up, the woman was in a place she had never seen before.
A clear lake spread out before her, and many Sloths and Sloths were hanging from the trees surrounding it.
All of the Pokemon had injuries somewhere on their bodies.
It was something that the woman and her friends had given to her.
Looking more closely, they saw that among the sloths hanging from the trees was a dead one.
It was the corpse of a sloth that the woman and her friends had killed and abandoned.
The sloths had thrown the corpse into the lake.
The woman became scared and tried to run away, but then a keking appeared.
The keking's ear had been torn off.
The woman realized that the keking in front of her was the same bastard from before,
and she became so scared that she fainted again.
When the woman woke up again, she was at the entrance to the forest near her house, and her friends were around her.
The friends carried the woman on their backs and took her home.

A little while later, the girl gave birth to a child.
It was a sloth.
The girl tried to throw it away, but couldn't.
So she stopped seeing her friends and raised the sloth.

Worried about the woman, her friends went near her house and found the sloth sleeping there.
It was a woman's baby Sloth.
Her friends caught it as they always did, stabbed it in the chest, and killed it.
They took the body and headed to the woman's house.
The woman was very sad to see the dead Sloth.
She took the Sloth's body and ran deep into the forest.
The surprised friends chased after her.
As they walked through the deep forest, the surroundings suddenly opened up, and a clear lake appeared.
There were many Sloths and Yarukimono around the lake.
The woman stood in front of the lake and threw herself into it with the Sloth's body.

After that, just like the dead woman, the friends began to associate with the Sloth as a friend.

Theme: Relationship between humans and Pokémon / Human (ish) way of thinking

Once upon a time. When the boundary between Pokémon and humans was unclear.

There was a village somewhere.
One day, a girl from that village went to the mountains to collect firewood.
Deep in the mountain, the girl found a dry dead tree, so she went deeper and deeper.

When she realized it, the sun was setting and the girl was lost.
There was Tyrannosaurus excrement all over the place, and the girl became worried.
Then, a man washed up on the other side of the forest.
The man's face didn't look like any of the men who lived in the village, but he was very handsome.
The man said,

"You must be lost, right? I know the way down the mountain, but if you walk that way, it will be midnight. I'll bring you back tomorrow morning, so why don't you stay at my place tonight?"

The girl had no choice but to do as the man said.
The man took the girl's hand and started walking.

As the sun was setting, they reached a large cave.

"This is my home. You must be hungry, right? Wait for me."

The man said this and left the cave.
A while after the man left, the mountain glowed red in the distance and there was the sound of trees swaying.
Soon the man returned carrying many red nuts. The man said.

"After you eat these, go to bed. If you wake up before me, don't look at me."

The next morning when the girl woke up, the man was still asleep.
The girl kept her promise and waited, but eventually fell asleep again.

The girl woke up to the man's voice. Looking outside, the sun was already setting.

"Today, let's eat green nuts. Wait for me."

And with that, he left the cave.
A while after the man left, the mountain glowed red in the distance and there was the sound of trees swaying.
When the sun had completely set, the man returned carrying many green nuts.
The man said.

"After eating this, let's go to sleep. If you wake up before me, don't look at me."

The girl said that she wanted to go home early because her family was worried about her,
and the man yawned loudly and hit her on the head.
The girl then completely forgot about her family and her home.
Then the two of them ate some green berries and went to sleep.
The next day, they woke up as the sun was setting, and the man went to get some berries, ate them together, and went back to sleep.
They continued living like this, and eventually the girl realized that the man was Bakuhoon.

As winter approached, Bakuhoon dug out the back of the cave. He then told the girl.
"Go and gather some firewood. Break off the top branches of the tallest trees you can find."

The girl tried to do as Bakuhoon told her, but she was afraid of tall trees, so she could only climb short ones.
When she returned after gathering some branches, Bakuhoon said. "No, we need to be on a higher tree branch or humans will find us."

When it started to snow, the two of them slept in the depths of the hole.

There was plenty of food. They would wake up occasionally to eat and then sleep again.

One day, the girl woke up to find a child in her arms.

After several days and nights, the girl woke up and Bakuhoon said.

"Your father is looking for you. But you are my wife, so I can't give you back. I have to fight him."

The girl said.

"Please don't kill my father. How can I live with you after my family is killed? You are a good person. So let's stay here and sleep."

"Okay. Let's sleep here."

The man nodded.

The next night, Bakuhoon woke the girl up and said.

"Your father is right next to me. Look outside."

When the girl went outside, it was snowing heavily. She climbed a low tree and broke the branch.

When she returned to the cave, Bakufuun was singing. It was a song she had never heard before.

"You broke a branch. Your father will be here soon. Now I'm going to do something bad to your father. If I'm killed, you can have my eyes, my voice, and my heart. Then I want you to make a fire on the place where I was killed and burn it. And I want you to sing this song until it burns out."

The girl said.

"Please stop. You're not going to kill my father. Please stop. I want you to be killed."

"Goodbye. We'll never meet again."

With that, Bakufuun went outside.

After a while, she heard a loud noise and looked outside.
Then her father was killing Bakufuun.
The girl ran outside and told her father. "Your father killed his son. I have lived with him until now. He is my husband. Please give me the eyes, heart and voice of my husband, Bakufu."

The girl made a fire at the place where Bakufu was killed and poured her eyes, heart and voice into the flames.
Then, while it burned out, she sang the song she had learned from Bakufu.

The girl's father built a hut on the outskirts of the village and had the girl and her child live there.
Soon, spring came.
The young people in the village often teased and bullied the girl and her child.
It got worse day by day, and one day they tried to make her wear a Bakufu fur.
The girl returned home and complained to her parents.
"Please tell the villagers not to tease us. If we wear that skin, we will surely become Bakufu.
We are already half Bakufu."

No matter what her parents said, the villagers would not listen.
On the contrary, he became even more amused and covered the girl and child with the fur of a Tyrannosaurus.
The girl and child then howled loudly. Then the two disappeared into the depths of the forest.
They never returned.
Then people learned that Tyrannosaurus was half human.
pmythLaplace
There was a man in a village.
One day, the man went out to catch a stray dog.
As he was walking along the beach, he found a Laplace on the sand.
After mating with Laplace, the man released it back into the sea.
The next day, he went to the same place and found the same Laplace.
The man mated with Laplace again and released it back into the sea in the same way.
A few nights later, the man had a dream. In his dream, Laplace said to him.
"I can't go to you, but I'll deliver your baby. Your baby and mine."
The next morning, the man went to the place where he met Laplace.

He went there and found a boy.

The man took the child home and raised him.

Time passed, the boy grew into a young man, and his father died.

The young man was alone.

One day when the young man went out hunting, he saw a group of people playing on the beach.

As they played, they were passing around a cigarette and smoking it together.

The young man hid in the forest and made a fishing hook, then crept closer.

He saw some Sharpedo playing on the beach.

As the young man got closer, the Sharpedo all disappeared into the water at once.

However, one Sharkhader did not leave immediately, but looked around three times before leaving.

When he went to the place where the Sharpedo had been playing, he found a large sword there.

The young man took the sword home with him.

The young man went hunting with the sword, and killed thirty Ringumas with it.
He slashed each Ringuma's face.
He cut off Linguma's nose.
When the young man went fishing he caught many Magikarp.
When he set a trap in the forest he caught fifty Oshawotts.
The young man always carried a sword with him. He only had a sword and no bow or spear.

One autumn, the young man got lost while looking for firewood.
He was confused and didn't know where to go.
After walking for a while he came across Linguma's den.
He saw an old Linguma lying inside.
The old Linguma said.
"Come on in and lie down with me."
It was scary to sleep with Linguma, but it was getting dark outside so he went into the den.
He slept next to Linguma.
Then Linguma's den became a human home, and people started coming into the house one after another.
The room became full of people.
When the young man looked, all the people's faces were covered in scars and some were missing noses.
The young man fell asleep.
When the young man woke up, he was sleeping with the old Ring-Ma.
When he went back to sleep, in his dream, people had gathered together, and they were happily passing around tobacco and smoking it.

It was spring.
The old Ring-Ma said.
"Do you want to go home? When you get home, you will soon find the Wailord near the village. Go there. We will send one man. You put down your sword and take two witnesses with you. Why did you do that, cut your face and cut off your nose?"
The young man woke up and came out of Ring-Ma's hole.
The old Ring-Ma went out with him and sawed the young man off to the village.

When they returned to the village, the people asked the young man where he had been.
The young man told them everything that had happened.

The next morning, the young man took the two villagers and headed for the coast.
The Himeguma was eating the dead Wailord.
When Himeguma noticed the people, he hid in the forest, and a big Ring-Ma came out instead.
The young man and the ring bear grappled, fighting with their fists, punching each other in the face.
The ring bear ran into the forest but died at the edge.
The young man also died.
Both of them died.
The two villagers who were witnesses returned to the village and told the whole story.
pmyth Ring Bear 1

There was a forest that spread at the foot of the mountain, and at the foot of the forest lived two brothers.
They lived by catching nuts and ring bears.
The nuts only grew during the short summer, and in the winter they withered and were covered in deep snow.
In the summer, the ring bear was a small and weak Himeguma, but in the winter it grew into a large and sturdy ring bear.
Eating the meat of the ring bear gave him great strength. The ring bear's fur was warm, and when he wore it, he could withstand even the harshest of cold.

The older brother was an expert hunter, so he brought home prey every day, summer and winter.
The younger brother was not a skilled hunter, so he only brought home nuts.

One hot summer day, the younger brother went out to the forest.

In the forest, he found a beautiful Ringuma.

His lush fur was shining beautifully in the sunlight.

When the younger brother hurriedly drew his bow, Ringuma said.

Why do you need my fur on such a sunny day?

Why do you need my meat when there are so many nuts here?

Your brother killed my family, so there are no more females in this forest except me.

If I die, we will be gone.

The younger brother lowered his bow and said.

I will not kill you then. But I want to be by your beautiful fur. I want you to be with me.

Ringuma became his wife.

The younger brother and Ringuma went around gathering nuts together.
Ringuma told his younger brother where to find nuts that no one knew about.
In return, the younger brother told the Ringumas the days when his older brother went out hunting.

During the summer, the brothers did not eat the meat of Himeguma or Ringuma.
When winter finally came, Linguma appeared before his younger brother with a male.

Linguma said,

They have already sired children with me. So please use them as food for you brothers to live.

The younger brother killed his companions, skinned their fur, and cut up their meat. He buried the remaining carcasses in the ground along with tree seeds.

The younger brother and Linguma offered a prayer of thanks, and the snow parted, revealing small tree sprouts.

Thanks to the prey the younger brother brought home, the brothers neither frost nor hunger.

But the older brother was not happy that only the younger brother always brought back prey.

One snowy night, the older brother went out hunting.
Deep in the forest at the foot of the mountain, Linguma was shoveling aside the snow, searching for food.
It was his younger brother's wife, Linguma.
Her lush fur shone faintly in the moonlight, and her figure looked surprisingly large.
As the older brother readied his bow, Linguma said. You will not starve because you have meat that your brother brings back.
You will not freeze because you have furs that your brother brings back.

The older brother shot his arrow regardless.

The older brother returned home with his prey.

When the younger brother saw the beautiful fur and meat his older brother brought back, he ran outside.

The surprised older brother chased after him, and found himself in front of the corpse of a ring bear he had killed.
The corpse had been stripped of its beautiful fur and its flesh taken away, leaving only its eyes, heart, and voice.
The younger brother picked them up and disappeared into the depths of the forest.
The older brother called out to him many times, but his younger brother never came back.

There was a village.
The village's best hunter went out hunting once and caught ten ring bears and many more dwarf bears.
His wife skinned the ring bears and dwarf bears that her husband had caught, butchered the meat, and sold it.
The fur and meat made a lot of money.
Whenever he went out hunting, his wife would tell him to catch more prey.
The couple had a son.
Like his father, he was a good hunter.

It was a bright, sunny day. The son went out hunting in the morning.
However, no matter how far he went through the forest, he could not find any prey.
As the sun was setting, he finally found a bear.
However, the bear was too small, so he chased it away and went further into the mountains.
The sun set, and the son got lost.
Then he encountered another bear. It was the same bear he had encountered earlier.
When the son tried to chase it away again, the bear grabbed his hand and ran off.
The son followed the bear down the road and arrived at the village.

Many ring bears were ravaging the fields and eating the crops that grew there. Many Ring-Mags were destroying houses and setting fires.
Many villagers' corpses were scattered all around.

A particularly large Ring-Mag was trying to kill his father.
His father was unconscious, but still alive.
Next to him, his mother was lying, her skin peeled off and her flesh torn.

The son said,

It's no wonder you're angry.
My father killed your son, your father, your grandfather, and your great-grandfather.
My mother skinned your daughter, your mother, your grandmother, and your great-grandmother.
But it can't be helped. We'd die of cold if we didn't wear your fur.

Ring-Mag listened in silence.

It's the same as you catching Magikarp. It's the same as eating a Sunflower.
My father and mother went too far.
But from now on, I won't do anything so reckless. I won't go too far. So please forgive me, guys.

When the son said that, the big Ring Bear barked. Then Himeguma, whom he had met in the forest, appeared.

I understand.
But the people you killed and whose fur was taken from this village are still here.
They are lost and don't know where to go.
I leave my child in your care. Raise him with care, so that he will guide his dead friends.

With that, Ring Bear bit into the father's arm and left with his friends deep in the mountains.

From that day on, the son lived with Himeguma.
As the son was older, Himeguma became the son's younger brother.
The father could no longer hold a bow and arrow, so the son went out hunting instead.
The son went out hunting only once a month and caught a Ring Bear. He didn't catch a Himeguma.
He spent the rest of the day gathering nuts and tilling the fields with his father.

As time passed, the son grew into a fine young man, and Himeguma grew into a fine Ursaring.

One night under a full moon, the young man returned from hunting to find Ursaring singing and dancing.
It was a song no one had ever heard before, a dance no one had ever seen before.
Ursaring said,

Tomorrow, please light a big fire in the middle of the village.
Kill me and put my eyes, heart and voice into the fire.
Then sing this song and dance this dance until my things are burned out.

The young man and Ursaring sang and danced until the night fell.

The next morning, the young man called the villagers, and they did as Ursaring said, and built a big fire in the village square.
Seeing that the flames had risen sufficiently, Ursaring urged them on.
The young man killed Ursaring.
He cut Ursaring's eyes, heart and voice into pieces, and put them into the fire, then began to sing and dance.
A big plume of smoke rose, and it flowed toward the mountain.
The howls of many Ring-bears could be heard from the mountains.
The howls continued to echo through the mountains until the smoke had completely cleared.

The ring bears were ravaging the fields. They were eating the ripe crops.
The ring bears were destroying houses and setting fires.
Many corpses of villagers with their bodies torn apart were scattered all over the place.

Next to him lay the mother, her skinned.

As the son spoke, a big ring bear barked. Then the Himeguma he had met in the forest appeared.

The young man and Linguma sang and danced together.
As the sun rose, Linguma quietly passed away, as if tired and asleep.
The young man called the villagers and built a big fire in the village square as Linguma had said.
He cut out Linguma's eyes, heart, and voice from his corpse.
He put them into the fire and began to sing and dance.

After skinning the carcasses, he dumped them in the bushes on the outskirts of the village.
The furs made good money, so his wife told the hunter to catch more.
In order to catch more prey, the hunter got a new hunting tool.
It was a very sharp sword.
When he went out hunting with the sword, the ring bears were so frightened
that he was able to kill them very easily.
And so he was able to get even more furs.
But because he caught so many, the furs soon became unsold.
He dumped the unsold furs in the bushes on the outskirts of the village.
But the hunter and his wife didn't stop hunting ring bears, and continued to collect their furs.

A hunter and his wife had a son.

One autumn day, the hunter's son went out hunting in place of his father.
When the hunter left home, his father lent his son his sword.
However, no matter how much the son searched the forest, he could not find either a ring bear or a Himeguma.
The son thought that the ring bears might be sleeping, so he looked around for their dens and peeked around.
However, there was no ring bear in any of the dens.
When the sun set and the moon rose,
the son gave up hunting and decided to return to the village.
When the son looked towards the sky in the direction of the village, the sky above the village was shining red.

When the son arrived at the village, all the houses in the village were on fire.
And many ring bears were rampaging all over the village.
The ring bears went around setting fire to the houses.
Then they attacked the people who fled from the burning houses, killing them one by one.
The corpses of villagers, their bodies torn apart, were scattered all over the village.
Worried about his parents, the son hurried home.

When he arrived in front of the house, a particularly large Ursaring grabbed his father, trying to kill him.
Next to him lay the body of his mother, her skinned body.

As the son readied his sword, Ursaring cried out,

Your father kills us in our sleep.
That's why we can't sleep.
Your father kills us because we're too scared of his sword to move.
That's why we can't run away.
Your father strips us of our fur and throws us away.
That's why my family is still in this village, even after they've died.
No one knows where to go.
That's why they haven't come back to us.

The son lowered his sword and said,

You're certainly right.
It's true that you're angry.
But we can't help it either.
We can't survive here without wearing your fur.
We'd freeze to death. That's why we need you.
Just like we need nuts.
Just like we need Magikarp.
Yes, it's probably no different from digging holes in the ground.
But my mom and dad are going too far.
But I'm not going too far.
I won't do anything like that again.
I don't need this sword.
So please forgive me.
Don't kill my father.

Saying this, the son slammed the sword into the ground with all his might.
The sword broke with a sound.

Seeing this, Ringuma said.

Our family is still here.
We're lost here, not knowing where to go.
So I'm entrusting my child to you.
You will live with him.
Until my child grows up,
and leads the families here to us.

When he finished speaking, he bit into the arm of his father who he had been holding onto, and dropped him to the ground.
And the Ringumas left the village.

The next evening.
The villagers were mourning their dead family members in a large river near the village.
A large moon was reflected on the surface of the water.
The son dressed his mother's corpse in a beautiful kimono that her mother had loved, and drowned her in the river.
Then many Magikarp gathered around his mother's corpse.
The Magikarps carried their mother on their backs and disappeared across the river where the moon was reflected.

When the son returned home, he found a Himeguma in front of the house.
It was carrying a lot of nuts in both arms. The son invited the Himeguma into the house.
As the son was older, the Himeguma became the son's younger brother.

From the next day, the Himeguma's younger brother went out to pick nuts every day.
The son went out with him.
He took the nuts he had picked home and stored them carefully.

Eventually, when the whole area was covered in snow and it became impossible to pick nuts,
Himeguma's younger brother began to sleep at home every day.
His son also slept there.

The two would wake up every once in a while, eat the nuts he had stored away, and then go back to sleep.
One day, the son woke up to find that his younger brother, Himeguma, had evolved into a fine Ursaring.
Soon after, spring arrived.

One day, the son's father died of an illness.
When the sun went down, the son, like his mother, went to a large river to mourn his father's body.
A large moon was reflected on the surface of the large river.
When he sank his father's body into the river, many Magikarp gathered around the corpse.
The Magikarps swam across the river, carrying their father on their backs, to the other side of the moonlit river.
Then, a Ursaring appeared on the riverbank.
Linguma caught one of the Magikarps that were gathering around his father.
Then he took it in his mouth and left.

When spring came, Linguma's younger brother invited his son to go hunting.
After the son made a bow and arrow out of wood, the two of them set out.
Linguma's younger brother led his son to the place where the Linguma gathered.
It was by the shore of a very clear lake, and the Linguma gathered on both the west and east sides of the lake.
Linguma's younger brother took his son to the east bank and roared loudly.
Then an old Linguma stood up and said to his son.

If you want fur, hunt the Linguma here.
But you must not hunt the Lingumas on the west bank, or the Himeguma.
Can you promise me?
If you can promise me, then go ahead and hunt me.

The son nodded and readied his bow.
Linguma didn't run away, but was hit by an arrow.

When the son returned home, Ringuma's younger brother told him who the prey he had hunted that day was.
It was Ringuma's younger brother's great-grandfather.
After stripping the animal's fur, the son carefully dressed the body in a beautiful kimono and threw it into the river, just like his parents' bodies.
After that, the son only went out hunting when necessary.
Keeping his promise, he only hunted ringumas on the eastern shore of the lake.
His prey was always male ringumas.

Several more days passed, and one evening,
when the son returned home from collecting firewood, his younger brother Ringuma was singing and dancing.
Noticing his son, Ringuma said,

When this dance finishes, I will take everyone with me.
Tomorrow, please light a big fire in the middle of the village.
And please put my eyes, heart and voice into the fire.
Please sing this song and dance this dance until all my things have burned out.
The son and Linguma sang and danced together until dawn.
Shortly before the sun rose, the younger Linguma passed away peacefully as if in his sleep.

The son did as his younger brother Linguma told him and built a big fire in the village square.
He separated the eyes, heart and voice from his brother Linguma's corpse.
He put them on the fire and began to sing and dance.
A big plume of smoke rose and drifted towards the mountains.

In order to catch more, the hunter got a new hunting tool.
It was a very sharp sword.
When he went out hunting with the sword, the ling-bears would get very scared,
so he could kill them very easily.
This allowed him to get even more furs.
He caught so many that eventually the furs went unsold.
He dumped the unsold furs in the grass on the outskirts of the village.
But the hunter and his wife didn't stop hunting the ling-bears and continued to collect furs.

The hunter and his wife had one son.

One autumn day, the hunter's son went out hunting in his father's place.
When the hunter left home, the father lent his son his sword.
However, no matter how hard the son searched the forest, he could not find any ring bears or Himeguma.
Thinking that the ring bears might be sleeping, the son looked around for their dens and peeked inside.
However, there were no ring bears in any of the dens.
As the sun set and the moon rose,
the son gave up hunting and decided to return to the village.
When the son looked toward the sky in the direction of the village, the sky above the village was shining red.

When the son reached the village, all the houses in the village were on fire.
And many ring bears were rampaging all over the village.
The ring bears went around setting fire to the houses.
Then they attacked people who had escaped from the burning houses, killing them one by one.
The corpses of villagers with their bodies torn apart were scattered all over the village.
Worried about his parents, the son hurried home.

When he arrived in front of the house, a particularly large ring bear had grabbed his father and was about to kill him.
Next to him lay his mother's skinned corpse.

As the son raised his sword, Ursaring cried out,

Your father kills us in our sleep.

That's why we can't sleep.

Your father kills us when we're too scared of his sword to move.

That's why we can't run away.

Your father treats us like trash after skinning us and throws us away.

That's why my family is still in this village, even after we've died.

No one knows where to go.

That's why we've come to you.

He never comes back.

The son lowered his sword and said,

You certainly have a point.
It's true that you're angry.
But we can't help it either.
We couldn't survive here without wearing your fur.
We'd freeze to death. That's why we need you.
It's the same as you needing nuts.
Just like we need Magikarp.
Yes, it's probably no different from digging a hole in the ground.
But my mom and dad went too far.
But I won't go too far.
I won't do anything like that again.
I don't need this sword.
So please forgive me.
Don't kill my father.

Saying this, the son slammed the sword into the ground with all his might.
The sword broke with a loud noise.

Seeing this, Ringuma said,

Our family is still here.
We're lost here, not knowing where to go.
So I'm entrusting my child to you.
You will live with him.
Until my child grows up and leads
all these families here to us.

After he finished speaking, he bit into his father's arm, which he had been holding, and let him down.
And the Ringumas left the village.

The next evening.
The villagers were mourning their dead family in a large river near the village.
A large moon was reflected on the surface of the water.
The son also dressed his mother's corpse in a beautiful kimono that her mother had loved, and sank her in the river.

From the next day, the younger brother went out to pick nuts every day.
The son went out with him.
He brought home the nuts he picked and carefully stored them away.

Eventually, when the whole area was covered in snow and it became impossible to pick nuts,
the younger brother began to sleep at home every day.
The son also slept together.

The two would wake up every once in a while, eat the nuts he had stored away, and then sleep again.
One day, the son woke up and found that the younger Himeguma had evolved into a fine Ring-bear.
Soon after, spring arrived.

One day, the son's father died of an illness.
When the sun went down, the son went to mourn his father's body in a large river, just like his mother.
A large moon was reflected on the surface of the large river.
When he sank his father's body into the river, many Magikarp gathered around it.
The Magikarps, carrying their father on their backs, swam across the river where the moon was reflected.
Then, a Ursaring appeared on the riverbank.
Ursaring caught one of the Magikarps gathered around his father.
Then he took it in his mouth and walked away.

In the spring, Ursaring's younger brother invited his son to go hunting.
After the son made a bow and arrow from wood, the two of them set out.
Ursaring's younger brother showed him to the place where the Ursaring gathered.
It was by the edge of a very clear lake, and the Ursaring gathered on both the west and east sides of the lake.
Ursaring's brother took his son to the east bank and roared loudly.
Then an old Ursaring stood up and said to his son.

If you want fur, hunt the Ursaring here.
However, you may not hunt the Ursaring on the west bank, or the Himeguma.
If you can keep this promise, hunt me.

The son nodded and readied his bow.
Ringuma didn't run away, and was hit by an arrow.

When they returned home, Ringuma's younger brother told them who the prey had been that day.
It was Ringuma's younger brother's great-grandfather.
After stripping the animal's fur, the son carefully dressed the body in a beautiful kimono and threw it into the river, just like his parents' bodies.
After that, the son only went out hunting when necessary.
Keeping his promise, he hunted only ringumas on the eastern shore of the lake.
All of his prey were male ringumas.

A few more days later, one evening,
When the son returned home from collecting firewood, his younger brother Ringuma was singing and dancing.
Noticing his son, Ringuma said,

When this dance finishes, I will take everyone with me.
Tomorrow, please make a big fire in the middle of the village.
And please put my eyes, heart and voice into the fire.
Sing this song and dance this dance until mine are burned out.
The son and Lingma sang and danced together until dawn.
Shortly before the sun rose, the younger brother Lingma passed away peacefully, as if in his sleep.

The son did as his brother Lingma told him, and built a big fire in the village square.
He carved out his brother Lingma's eyes, heart and voice from his corpse.
He put them on the fire and began to sing and dance.
A big plume of smoke rose and drifted toward the mountains.
The distant howls of Lingma could be heard from the mountains.
The distant howls continued to ring out through the mountains until all the smoke had vanished.
