Professional Story Draft

Childhood

I've been interested in coding since my childhood. I was the first kid that had a PC in my small town. My PC was very old one with Norton OS and I had a chance to see how complex computers were. For a child, this process was like something magic and world-changing. My parents saw my interest in it and supported me in it, they bought a lot of books about programming such as how to create web page or how to build your own games. I spent a lot of time doing it, and it was really exciting to create your own Tetris or Space Battle. I am a person who is interested in different fields, and I was the same when I was young. When it came time to choose future professional path, it was very hard to make a decision on what I want to do in the future. And finally I chose to be a clinical psychologist, because psychiatry looks very interesting.

University and after

In University, I was really enjoying studying psychology, especially clinical psychology. I spent a lot of time in mental hospital studying how persons with schizophrenia were thinking, how their personality was changing etc. I was interested in science research, and I was a conference participant a few times. Finally, I got my master's degree and decided to start my practice. After university, I started work in health center for substance abusers and their families. After working for some time I was disappointed in my choice, because psychologist work is more paperwork than really helping people who are in need. And I started looking into other fields, such as coding. I planned to apply on robot engineer program. Because of unfortunate circumstances I left my country and I came to the USA.

USA

When I was young I was choosing between working in medical field or tech field. And with starting new life in new country I saw good chance to change my professional field to tech. I remembered that I loved programming in my childhood and now I can make it my occupation. I started to learn programing by myself using books, videos and other internet courses. After some time, I understood that this way of learning is not enough for my growth and I needed to get more practice and I started a school search to continue learning coding. I chose Turing because there is emphasis on getting necessary technical skills and personal improvement.

Turing

Before my first day at school I was afraid about my ability to understand all technical concepts because I had just starting learning English. First days were a struggle for me, but fortunately I understood all lessons and got a chance to practice my skills in projects. Everyday practice improved my understanding of JavaScript concepts. And studying at Turing through everyday struggles makes me more confident in myself and my skills. Finally, I made sure that coding is totally my field and I feel happy that I started to learn it. I want to improve my skills as much as I can. A software development career contains everything that I love: art, crafting, creative on the one hand and logic, problem solving, hard brain work on the other hand.

Goals

After getting strong understanding JavaScript I want to improve my knowledge and skills in the development of artificial intelligent. In my future I see myself as a part of the space field at a lead position. I understand that It requires a lot of work and time, but I'm not afraid any challenges and struggles, because I already know that dreams come true if you make clear goals, and any difficulties make me stronger when I overcome it.

Short part

My curiosity in programming started in childhood by learning how to create web pages and then how to create video games such as Tetris and Galaxy Wars. When I was choosing a career, I had many passions and ultimately chose psychology. As I was starting my new life in the United States, I remembered my childhood passion for programming and decided to change fields and pursue programming. I started self-teaching Web Design and a base of Web Development. After some time, I understood that this way of learning is not enough for my growth and I went to Turing School of Software and Design. I chose Turing because there is emphasis on getting necessary technical skills and personal improvement. Finally, I made sure that coding is totally my field and I feel happy that I started to learn it. A software development career contains everything that I love: art, crafting, creative on the one hand and logic, problem solving, hard brain work on the other hand.
