React DevTools In Safari 2023

Introduction

This is a successful experiment in getting React DevTools working in Safari Developer Tools in Safari 16.3 as of January 2023. Potentially, this process can be used with other extensions that extend the developer tools (e.g. Redux, Vue, etc...).

This is only a proof of concept but hopefully this may open the doors for tools that were previously accessible on other browsers to be now available on Safari spurring for a more open web experience (and debugging) for developers.

Theming Slack for OSX

So, you love Slack, but you hate applications with large white backgrounds? Why not use Dark Mode!

Unfortunately, Slack does not have a Dark Mode, although it's on their list of possibilities.

But, don't fret - there is a solution! Because the slack native desktop apps are just wrappers around a web app, we can inject our own CSS to customize the application to our liking.

How to (OSX Only)

A few utilities to help with de-odexing.

You'll need to download baksmali/smali/apktool jars and link/rename the jars as appropriate (e.g., apktool.jar, smali.jar, baksmali.jar) in the directory with these scripts.
