Webkit Pseudo-Element Selectors (Shadow DOM Elements)

An ongoing project to catalogue all of these sneaky, hidden, bleeding edge selectors as I prepare my JSConf EU 2012 talk.

Everything is broken up by tag, but within each the selectors aren't particularly ordered.

I have not tested/verified all of these. Have I missed some or got it wrong? Let me know. - A

A friendly reminder that you may need to set this property on your target/selected element to get the styling results you want:

-webkit-appearance:none;

Init-script for optionally starting multiple redis instances on the same host running Ubunut/Debian. Highly inspired by the memcached init script that comes with the Ubuntu package. This is useful since redis is single-threaded.
#! /bin/bash
### BEGIN INIT INFO
# Provides: redis-server
# Required-Start: $remote_fs $syslog
# Required-Stop: $remote_fs $syslog
# Should-Start: $local_fs
# Should-Stop: $local_fs
# Default-Start: 2 3 4 5
# Default-Stop: 0 1 6
# Short-Description: redis-server - Persistent key-value db

An introduction to the indexed state monad in Haskell, Scala, and C#.

The Indexed State Monad in Haskell, Scala, and C#

Have you ever had to write code that made a complex series of succesive modifications to a single piece of mutable state? (Almost certainly yes.)

Did you ever wish you could make the compiler tell you if a particular operation on the state was illegal at a given point in the modifications? (If you're a fan of static typing, probably yes.)

If that's the case, the indexed state monad can help!

Enable HiDPI mode on a VMware Fusion OS X 10.9 Mavericks Vagrant VM
  1. Set "Use full resolution for Retina display" in the VM's Settings > Display
  2. Run this command in Terminal sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled -bool true
  3. In System Preferences, set the display to "scaled" using the resolution 1292 x 807 (HiDPI)
  4. Enjoy.

Tinder API Documentation

Tinder API documentation

Note: this was written in April/May 2014 and the API may has definitely changed since. I have nothing to do with Tinder, nor its API, and I do not offer any support for anything you may build on top of this. Proceed with caution

http://rsty.org/

I've sniffed most of the Tinder API to see how it works. You can use this to create bots (etc) very trivially. Some example python bot code is here -> https://gist.github.com/rtt/5a2e0cfa638c938cca59 (horribly quick and dirty, you've been warned!)
