Section II: Short Answer Responses

  1. Why do you want mentoring in the job search?

I have experience with job search, however I feel new to the world of job search in this industry. Thus I thought it would valuable to receive feedback, so I learn best practices while I'm still in school. Thus developing stronger practices before I graduate.

  1. How will you hold yourself accountable to balancing time for your job search and following your mentor and group's advice?

I have set up a schedule (see above) my goal is for an hour every day for weekdays and 2 hours every day for weekends. I am the SAB rep for this inning, so last Friday I asked everyone to share their professional goals so we can hold each other accountable. Thus I have as well created my own goals (3 job applications and talk to one new person a week). I plan to check in with the class every week and make sure I'm also attaining my goals weekly.

  1. What is the focus of your job search (timeline, ideal job, steps you’ve already taken)? Be as specific as you can.

I'm honestly not racing against time for a job. I would oblivious appreciate a job sooner, however I also want to create strong projects during mod 4 and feel confident I found a good fit for me. Thus I haven't done a good job starting beyond what I've been asked to complete by PD.
