Privacy Policy for Hermes Agent

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Overview

Hermes Agent is a personal AI assistant running locally on the user's own machine. It uses Google APIs solely to manage the user's own Google data (Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Contacts, Gmail labels).

Data Collection and Usage

Hermes Agent does NOT collect, store, or transmit your data to any third party. All Google API access happens on your local machine. Data fetched from Google services (calendar events, files, emails) stays on your device and is only used to fulfill your direct requests (e.g., creating a calendar event, reading a spreadsheet).

The application requests the following Google API scopes:

  • Calendar: Read and manage your own calendar events
  • Drive: Read and manage files you create with this app
  • Gmail (read-only): View email labels and read messages on your request
  • Contacts: Read and manage your contacts
  • Sheets/Docs: Read and write your spreadsheets and documents

Data Sharing

No data is shared. This application is for personal use only. There is no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party integrations.

Data Retention

All data remains in your Google account and on your local device. The application does not maintain its own database of your Google data beyond what is cached locally for performance.

Security

OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on your local machine. No tokens or credentials are transmitted to any remote server other than Google's own OAuth and API endpoints.

Your Rights

You can revoke access at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
