Unlocking bootloader on Samsung

It is easy to unlock it, but it's not safe to do.
You will get warned by your phone.
Do not try this on any other device that Samsung.
All your data from the phone will be wiped.

Step 1: Get into Download mode

You can google the Download mode combo for your device. For most newer devices, it is:

  • Shutting the device off
  • Pressing all Volume buttons
  • Connecting the device to a computer using USB cable

Step 2: Unlock the bootloader

Now you can see a promt:

  • Download mode - Volume Up
  • Unlock bootloader - Long press Volume Up

Do what it is saying. Now confirm the operation and wait for it to wipe the device.


Now you have an unlocked Samsung device!
