EpikCord.py Server Rules.

Notes

  • This is a list of rules that the moderators of the EpikCord.py Discord Server will enforce.
  • These are not literally the only rules you are to adhere to, use your brain.
  • By staying in the server, you agree to everything stated within this document.
  • Don't abuse loopholes within the rules. Instead, address the issue.
  • If you are seen breaking any of the rules, you will be appropriately sanctioned.
  • All actions are up to moderators, but I will allow you to disagree with an action and ask a higher moderator to review this.
  • Don't hold grudges. If a moderator warned you one time, you let it be, that's the past, don't be a child.
  • All rules apply everywhere (excluding non-discord platforms.). This includes other members DM's.

Rules

The main part of the document.

  1. No spamming.
    • If it's a celebration, for example the API Wrapper is finally complete, then you may spam a considerable amount. I'd say 5 messages in a celebration is alright, but I won't be too strict and sanction you for sending 6. That's no fun.
    • If it's a message to irritate members, then no. Don't do it, there is no point and not only will you be sanctioned but you will look like a child.
  2. No advertising.
    • If you're promoting another Discord Server, that's a warn.
    • If you're just talking about another Discord Server, that's fine. You cannot send the invite in the public channels of the server (such as general), but you can in DM's if they ask for it.
  3. No toxicity.
    • No making fun of people. People have feelings.
    • If you're joking and the "target" is alright with it, then you're fine.
  4. No begging for code.
    • Don't be that guy.
    • If you're begging for code, then you will be muted.
    • If you're just asking for some general support such as "How do I reply to an Interaction?" then you're fine.
    • To not break this rule, don't strucutre your query as "What's the code to reply to an Interaction?", instead you should ask something along the lines of "What's the method for replying to an Interaction?" (By the way it's just interaction.reply)
  5. No asking for help in DM's.
    • This is annoying. Don't do it.
  6. Understand the basics of Python.
    • If you're not familiar with Python, then you should learn it before asking for help with the library, this is to reduce the irritation this may cause helpers because if they give you an amazing explanation, and you go "Who is the member reply of the Interaction server???"
  1. No NSFW content.
    • If you're trying to send NSFW content, then you will be ban.
    • Follow the rule, "if you wouldn't send it to your grandma then don't send it here"
  2. No shouting at people who are asking for help.
    • Python is an amazing beginner language I believe, so don't disheart people from learning the langague who are asking for help as it could end their career and they could've fixed everyone's NameError!
  3. No asking for help in the public channels.
    • Stick to help channels.
