How to make an LLM clone of yourself

Wanna create and play with an AI clone of yourself or someone else (my lawyer says please don't)[^1] like this one? You're in luck because it's super easy!

Step one: get you some datas

This step really varies depending on your data sources, but the end goal is to turn some of real-you's conversations (from your platforms of choice) into a ShareGPT format dataset with you as the gpt. Here's what your (json) file should end up looking like:

{"conversations": [{"from": "human", "value": "Hi"}, {"from": "gpt", "value": "Hello"}]}
{"conversations": [{"from": "human", "value": "What's up "}, {"from": "gpt", "value": "not much, you?"}, {"from": "human", "value": "Just thinking, what if you're a robot and I don't realize it?"}, {"from": "gpt", "value": "hahaha don't be crazy"}]}
...

NOTE: Make sure every line starts with a message from the other person ("human")

Installing Microsoft Office in Linux

Step by step guide: How to install Microsoft Office in any Linux distribution

There are multiple options how to install MS Office on Linux.

VM-based - Integrate Windows apps running in a Windows virtual machine as native-looking in Linux

  1. LinOffice - Microsoft Office Launcher for Linux, my own fork of Winapps which is focused on only running Microsoft Office, with some Office-specific improvements over Winapps and a fully automated setup. Eventually I would like to create a GUI for it. Decribed below
  2. Winapps, based on KVM, QEMU, Docker/Podman and FreeRDP. Still actively maintained (getting Github commits). Decribed below
  3. Cassowary, based on KVM, QEMU, libvirt/virt-manager, and FreeRDP. Last release in Feb 2022 and seems to be abandoned.

QEMU with Mac OS 9 guest *and working audio*

QEMU Mac OS 9 Instructions

Here is a short guide on how to build QEMU to run Mac OS 9 with working audio. These instructions work for MacOS High Sierra as the host OS, although with some tweaking they may run under Linux/Windows. You should be comfortable compiling software from source before attempting.

Clone QEMU fork

Adapted from instructions from Cat_7

You may need to install XCode and/or the XCode command line tools. If you do not have them, then this process may prompt you to install them (MacOS will do that).
