Hi.
Though this isn't an Adcloud Event, we're mailing you because it's the same workshop we held last month at Adcloud. (Previously, we didn't have space for all the interested people.)
So if you are still interested, we will repeat an (improved) workshop this Thursday at the Cologne Clojure User Group.
Feel free to join us:
On Google Plus: https://plus.google.com/events/c1volcdbebka7e9t27phh8mdjdk
On meetup.com: http://www.meetup.com/clojure-cologne/events/121772182/
This will be a very pragmatic — hands on — workshop. We will start with a short introduction (~45 minutes) about syntax and basic usage patterns, giving you the chance to ask questions.
After that, we will encourage people to pair up and start working on the example project (https://github.com/adcloud/clojure-intro-workshop/).
In the last 30 minutes, you will be encouraged to present your solution.
Given the limited amount of time and zero-prior-knowledge assumption, we can’t explain philosophies, concepts and inner workings. After the workshop, you will be able to write code in Clojure, but still lack a deeper understanding.
Please make sure that you have the basic project (https://github.com/adcloud/clojure-intro-workshop/) forked and checked out on your machine. (The README has more details.)
