 General

 Can we do a splash screen? I’ve only ever seen the red bar with white bg show up. Would be cool for it to be all red with the lighthouse. I can make the images if necessary.
 Was interesting to see Popular as the first section for a few builds, but New as the first feels much better.

 Request new password alerts that you need to put in a username or email, but doesn’t tell you before. Pulling up a new form like https://github.com/longform/design/issues/41 would be better.

 Info message on first Arrival at New: I think it just needs a bit different treatment. It looks tacked on and gets lost. It’s important info, especially the second sentence.
 Any way we can smooth out the transition on Search? Right now the slide up is working, but then there is an abrupt snap to red. Looks like a bug. (NOTE: This only happens when you are scrolled down the list a bit. When you’re at the very top it feels right)

 Round avatar on some profiles and some lists of people and is seems unnecessary. Looks like a bug.
 When you scroll down and the name appears/disappears in the title bar, can it have a quick fade in/out. Like 100ms or so? It’s a bit jarring right now..
 I still think that we should remove the Text from the back button on Profiles.

 The Bio should be a multi-line text area instead of the single line that gets truncated.
 This Timed out for me the first time I tried it (worked the second). Can we have a more friendly error message when timeouts happen?

 Search: I don’t understand the message at the top. It’s not clear what’s different about the searching when you tap search vs. just typing.
 The position of the Text on the Collection and Browse buttons is still off. The left edge of the text should be ~6-8px to the left so it’s more squared in the corner.
 Article

 The “Every article in the app is automatically saved for offline reading.” message. Why is that necessary? If it does stay in place we should treat it differently, like the welcome message on New.
 The controls at the top (Style, Bookmark, Reco, Share) still have the odd grey flash when they are tapped.
 When not logged in to Readability/Instapaper, the alert gives an option to Open Login. Tapping it dismisses the alert but doesn’t do anything else.
