White Noise Machine — Privacy Policy & Support

Privacy Policy — White Noise Machine

Last updated: April 30, 2026

White Noise Machine is a no-frills sound generator. This page exists because Apple, Google, and various app stores require every app to publish a privacy policy, even when the app collects nothing.

What we collect

Nothing.

The app generates pink ("Light") and brown ("Dark") noise on your device using software synthesis. It does not record audio, transmit any data, contact any server, or send analytics or telemetry of any kind.

What we share

Nothing. There is nothing to share.

What we store

The app remembers which noise type you last selected (Light or Dark) using your device's local on-disk storage. This setting never leaves your device.

Permissions

On iOS, the app declares access to microphone APIs in its bundle metadata because the audio library it uses bundles those APIs at the framework level. The app does not access the microphone at runtime — it never opens a recording session, captures audio, or prompts you for microphone permission.

The app does not request any other sensitive permissions on either platform.

Children

The app does not collect, use, or share any data, so it complies with COPPA, GDPR-K, and similar laws by default. It targets a general adult audience but is not designed to be inappropriate for any age group.

Third-party services

None. There are no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, ad networks, or trackers integrated into the app.

Changes

If this policy is ever updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change.
