Validate External Links in Google Docs

In Google Docs, click the Extensions > Apps Scripts menu item.
Rename the project "Validate External Links"
Replace content of code.gs with the code in this Gist.
Save the script.
Reload the Google Doc.
Activate by clicking the Extensions > Validate External URLs > Highlight Broken URLs menu item.
Accept the permissions.
Re-run the extension.
