Only guess would be to make sure to add the custom image sizes: https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/add_image_size/
Thank you for this improvement on Josh's code. Someone really should turn this into a plugin!

Thank you so much for this awesome code! The improved path settings are working great for me, but for some reason I am still not getting the additional sizes created. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
