✏️ UX Sketching and Prototyping 101 📄

img_1058

💻 We spend way too much time in front of screens and in meetings. Writing and talking are limited tools and they don't do the best job showing what we mean.

✍️ Sketching with pen and paper to the rescue: it's fast, cheap and mobile. It helps clearing up misunderstandings before they happen. It informs conversations and speeds up design, prioritisation and decision making processes.

🧞‍♀️ The best thing: anybody can learn the basics in an hour. You're "not a visual type"? You "cannot a draw a straight line if your life depended on it"? This workshop was designed specifically for you <3

💡 You'll learn about:

  • Typography, shapes and interface basics
  • Hierarchy and clarity
  • Connecting sketches into clickdummies

👭 Designers: this might be more of a refresher for you if you sketch on a regular basis – please bring your PO/PM/Consultant/developer friends!

? As an attendee, what do I need to bring or prepare?

  • please bring curiosity and an open mind
  • please install the app "Marvel" on your phone. You can find the links for iOS and Android at marvelapp.com/apps/

That's it!

? As an organiser, what is needed to have this workshop at my meetup?

  • 120 minutes time slot (90 minutes workshop time plus 30 minutes break)
  • Pen and paper for all attendees (nothing special, any kind of pen and paper will do)
  • Flipchart
  • Beamer (HDMI)
  • Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are possible
