King of the Mountain

For 2-4 players

One player is the "king" and gets a god-like view floating above the map with a mountain (or castle?) in the center and the other players play in first person view and try to scale the mountain to get the treasure or save the princess or whatever. The king can set traps or spawn monsters, maybe has vision of the world or maybe just players obscured by fog of war. Players have multiple characters to select that each have special powers? Somewhat similar to Panoptic, but with less direct interference from the king. The King should have a separate goal from just stopping the other players, maybe needs to retrieve some things from the map and bring them back to the mountain or attack a village or something.

Initial T

For 2 players (maybe more)

Racing game to more or less relive the final race of Fast & the Furious Tokyo Drift. Two players race down the touge doing sick driftz. Control is one hand on the steering wheel, other hand on the shifter. More shifting for more SPEED. Ridiculous bumper car physics required. More players may make the road crowded and the game less fun. Not sure if it should be a race or compete for points based on style. Maybe some combination where good drifts subtract from your time, or wonky physics make you go faster during driftz.

Navy War Game

For 3 or 6 players

Each team gets a navy fleet of a carrier, a few surface ships, and 2 submarines. On each team, one player is the navy commander and gets a birds eye view of the field and controls the surface ships and carrier. The other two players on the team each control one submarine. The goal is to sink the opposing team's carrier. The submarine players are inside the sub in a cockpit view and play somewhat like Artemis or Guns of Icarus. They rely on the commander for instructions on where to go and what to attack. The commander does not know exactly where the submarines are unless they surface to use their periscope, which makes them vulnerable to surface ship attack (maybe the surface ships can attack with depth charges if they think a sub is close). The commander can scout/attack with airplanes launched from the carrier. Should feel somewhat like KTANE with the commander as the defuser and the subs as the experts, except with combat instead of puzzles.

Less interesting and fleshed out ideas

  • Something like Zelda Minish Cap, an adventure game where you solve puzzles by growing or shrinking
  • MechWarrior VR
