Install MySQL 5.5.xx on Ubuntu
I have ubuntu 20 64 Bit I am getting error
mysql: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
can anyone help me please
I am using
uname -a
Linux lappy-b50-80 5.4.0-42-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 10 00:24:02 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Simply install libncurses5
sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt-get install libncurses5

This would now be a different problem... What happens if you sudo su, then mysql -u root ... ?
