Hi Changelog team! |
I am Andrei Jiroh Halili, an 18-year-old Autistic Filipino high schooler, open-source |
developer at RecapTime.dev and Alpine Linux package maintainer for GitHub CLI. But today, |
I'll be wearing my Hack Clubber hat for this (and as a follow up to my episode request for |
Changelog Interview by the way for context). |
Earlier in my episode request for Changelog Interview with Chris Walker and Acon Lin of Hack |
Club, I asked if you can do cross-over episode by doing the Changelog Interview first before |
the Hack Club AMA one but Zeyu Yao at Slack told me I shouldn't ask to do both, as I quote |
from them in the #amas channel: |
> AMAs are us interviewing cool people - not the reverse lol |
> |
> and as I mentioned in #high-seas-help, we will definitely figure out what we can do! |
> in the meantime, just share the hype with other students |
(I included the full original message for additional context by the way. If it is not |
possible in your case, I am more fine doing them seperately just let everyone know.) |
Going back to the Hack Club AMA part, we'd be thrilled to have you, if you'd be up for it. |
It'd be a 1 hour commitment, dates to be decided on once coordinated, with 25-50 Hack Clubbers |
Hack Clubbers aged 14-18 on a video call. Hack Club AMAs are informal, fun, and meant to be |
spaces for inspiring and authentic conversation. Hack Clubbers will come with questions - we |
don't prepare them or screen the questions - and a Hack Club teenager will be helping facilitate the call. |
Hack Clubbers are very technical, some have even made contributions to the Linux kernel, and |
come from a wide variety of backgrounds and locations. The thing that bonds all of us together |
is a love for learning, a curiosity for computers, and a yearning to build and make things. |
Our past guests include Elon Musk, Patrick Collison, Gwynne Shotwell, Nicky Case, Dylan Field, |
and more. Here's a example of a virtual AMA would like from a AMA session with the CEO of Figs: |

If I can share any other information or details, please let me know. And if you'd like to |
proceed, just let me know and we can find a good time (they usually happen on weekends in |
previous AMAs). Since my timezone is in Philippine Standard Time, someone with nearest |
timezone to US Eastern Time will coordinate with you in case I may be unavailable to respond. |
