A shot of me with the fujifilm set to a lens length of 38 mm with 3 lights. In heinsight I look a little agressive but heh, at least it's different. 😅
So I've been improving my camera setup to help with video recordings, livestreams, Zoom calls, etc.
- Fujifilm X-T3 - They've already released the X-T4, so if you were to get a professional camera you can get their newer lineup or a Sony Alpha, Canon, etc. The camera is on a Manfroto Arm clamped onto my table.
- BlackMagic Decklink Quad PCIe Capture Card - This is connected to the camera with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable. Alternatively you could make do with a 4K 30 fps capture device such as the Cam Link 4K.
- 4 lights - 1 orange and blue light (2 Lights with colored gels) for some color contrast for the background, 1 Quasar ScienceT8 LED Lamp (4') accent light inspired by Dave 2D's videos, and 1 Quasar T8 Light light in front on the Newer stand with a Impact Super Clamp.
- Blue Yeti Pro - connected to my computer over USB on a Rode Arm.
Decorations help give character to your background, offering some personality and culture. I'm using:
- A Yamaha Guilele - A small guitar, though a Bandurria or Cuatro might be a nicer decoration for more of a spanish flair.
- A ZZ Plant - Some greenary helps.
- A Playstation Hat - I got this as a reward from Playstation's website back in the PS2 days.
- Books - Game Engine Architecture, Phyiscally Based Rendering from Theory to Implementation, GPU Pro, The Vulkan Programming Guide. I've been getting more eBooks to avoid making that shelf too huge!
- Product Boxes - An iPad, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super (Thanks Marmoset!), An older AMD card, some keyboards. Product boxes look so good now that they can be decorations! I got this idea from JayzTwoCents.
- Paintings - A bit generic I think, I want to try doing something that looks more like Chon's album art, some swirl paintings:
