Install Sublime Text 3 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)
Raw
sublime.sh
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/sublime-text-3;
sudo apt-get update;
sudo apt-get install sublime-text-installer;
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/sublime-text-3/sublime_text /usr/local/bin/sublime;

As of April 2017, the last line is not needed anymore (sudo ln -s /usr/lib/sublime-text-3/sublime_text /usr/local/bin/sublime;), and you can just run sublime by typing subl.

for the first line I get:
Cannot add PPA: 'ppa:webupd8team/sublime-text-3'.
Please check that the PPA name or format is correct.
