##Restaurants
- Great, authentic cajun food. One of our favorites, especially for out-of-towners. They also have the best charbroiled oysters in town.
- Same chef as Cochon (my favorite NOLA chef), more upscale food.
- Still the same chef, this time seafood. They have a custom wood-fired grill that they do a whole grilled redfish on, which is very good. Also a good raw bar. It won James Beard's Best New Restaurant in 2013 and has since been packed. Lunch is also a great option here. Don't miss the fried bread.
- Another great New Orleans chef, John Besh. Excellent Italian food, great charcuterie. Downtown.
- This is our favorite neighborhood place. It’s just a couple blocks from our house in the Irish Channel and we were regular before going back to school. Some of the best food in town.
- Old school NOLA restaurant. Great oyster bar and very traditional (read: full of butter) food.
- Another oyster place. I’ve never been, but it’s one of the NOLA classics. Uptown.
- This one’s in the quarter and has great food. We’ve been a couple times and were impressed.
- I figured I had to put one of Emeril’s joints on here. This one is in the quarter.
- Best hamburger I’ve ever had in my life. Uptown, very casual.
- Good Vietnamese fusion food in a pretty casual setting. There are other more traditional places, but this is creative and very good. Mid City.
- Great little ramen shop. Excellent appetizers and pie, too.
- One of my favorite restaurant, focused on local ingredients. Great prices, also great cocktails. Good vegetarian options, which is kind of rare in NOLA. In the Bywater.
- Gourmet hot dogs in a casual setting. There are uptown locations and a new one on Frenchman, which is walking distance from the quarter.
- This is the best brunch in the city, in my opinion. I like the Treme, which is a boudin patty with a poached egg, hollandaise, and fried crawfish. They also have good dinner.
- Cocktail and small plates bar. I haven’t been for the food yet, but their chef is the same guy from Company Burger, which is excellent. In the quarter.

##Other Bars
- Great cocktails, but small. In the quarter.
- The home of the Sazerac. The bar is super fancy and in the lobby of the Roosevelt hotel in the CBD, which is also where Domenica is. Their Sazeracs are good, but their Ramos Gin Fizzs are amazing. Not cheap.
- Great beer bar with a huge selection, Uptown.
- Even better beer bar, not as far uptown. In the Lower Garden District.
