Wrote initial drafts of mission and value statements for collaborative review, produced annual assessment reports, and spearheaded curricular initiatives.
- Human Resources Responsibilities: Advertised, interviewed, and hired for open staff positions; made recommendations for hiring of temporary instructional positions; organized national faculty searches; supervised staff; troubleshot personnel issues; acted as liaison to the Safe Campus Office, the Office of Student Life, and Campus Police, as needed.
- Financial Responsibilities: Managed departmental budgets; provided revenue and expense projections; managed biennial budget cycles; oversaw all departmental purchasing.
- Communications Responsibilities: Oversaw redesign of program website; performed updates and created content for program website; designed and maintained individual course websites; created and monitored undergraduate listserv; designed, updated, and edited program marketing materials.
- Development Responsibilities: Met regularly with program director and divisional development officers to create development plans; created written materials for development office; supervised undergraduate fundraising events; nurtured potential donor relationships with alumni and community members.
- Event Planning Responsibilities: Acted as primary administrative contact for CHID events, including film screenings and workshops; quarterly program-wide potlucks; annual graduation ceremony; and periodic lectures and receptions ranging in audience size of 10 to 500. Organized program retreats and faculty/staff training workshops.
- General Administrative Responsibilities: Created a community-centered environment for students, staff, and employees; organized and facilitated faculty and staff meetings; provided content for and advice on grant proposals; assessed changing technology requirements; and performed equipment inventory.
- Academic Responsibilities: Taught courses as needed and/or as desired; advised instructors on course content and pedagogy; advised undergraduate senior theses and independent studies; performed general undergraduate advising as needed to supplement undergraduate advisor.
