At the end of the show, you discussed the desire for a built-in way to handle unknown tags for data-readers. It's there with a little bit of configuration. See *default-data-reader-fn* and tagged-literal for more information.

My (oldish) project tagged simplifies a few things regarding records. The README links to my talk from Clojure/West 2013.
