A practical guide for getting past the "battery power" firmware update block
The MPC Live II contains an internal battery, and Akai's firmware update process refuses to run unless the unit reports that it is connected to mains power. This is a deliberate safety check: losing power partway through a firmware flash can leave the machine in an unusable state.
