This privacy policy describes how Vosburg Auto (a personal, non-commercial automation system operated by @ark234) handles personal information related to its SMS/MMS messaging.
Vosburg Auto sends notifications only to a small list of immediate family members who have personally and explicitly consented to receive them. There is no public sign-up, no marketing list, and no third-party recipient. If you are not on the consent list, you will not receive messages from this system.
- Mobile phone number of each consenting recipient.
- Date and method of consent (recorded by the operator in a private notes file at the time of opt-in: verbal, SMS reply, or email).
- Operational logs showing message send times, delivery status, and the system event that triggered each message. These logs are stored locally on the operator's home server and are not shared.
We do not collect message content from recipients (replies are processed for STOP / HELP keywords only and not retained beyond operational logs), location data, contacts lists, or any other personal information beyond what's listed above.
The phone number and consent record are used solely to send the notifications the recipient consented to receive. Operational logs are used solely for debugging, reliability monitoring, and billing reconciliation against the operator's Twilio account.
We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers to any third party for any purpose. Mobile numbers are transmitted only to Twilio (the SMS carrier service) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages the recipient consented to receive. Twilio's own privacy policy applies to that transmission and is available at https://www.twilio.com/legal/privacy.
Message volume is low. A typical recipient receives between 0 and 20 messages per day, with most days near the low end of that range. Frequency may rise temporarily during periods of higher property activity (e.g., wildlife camera events). There is no guaranteed minimum or maximum.
Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile carrier and plan. The operator does not pay these rates on the recipient's behalf; the recipient's carrier may charge for incoming SMS and MMS messages.
Recipients may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message (the recipient's number is automatically removed from the active rotation; STOP replies are acknowledged automatically by the carrier service).
- Replying HELP to receive operator contact information.
- Contacting the operator directly at info@arka.mozmail.com or by speaking with the operator in person to request removal.
Opt-out is honored immediately. Once removed, the recipient's number is deleted from the active configuration. Operational logs containing the number may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes, after which they are pruned.
- Phone numbers and consent records are retained for as long as the recipient is on the active list, and are deleted within 24 hours of opt-out.
- Operational logs are retained for up to 30 days and then pruned.
This service is not directed to children under 13. The operator does not knowingly add minors to the recipient list. Family members under 18 are added only with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian.
The operator may update this policy. The current version is always available at the URL where this document is hosted. Material changes will be communicated by SMS to the recipient list.
