What this is

A small userscript that keeps Basecamp's My Tasks tray open until you deliberately close it. Normally the tray snaps shut the moment you click anywhere outside it, open a task, or navigate to another page — which makes it awkward to actually work through your tasks. With this installed, the tray stays put so you can open several tasks in new tabs, click through to a task and come straight back, or read a sidebar ping, all without the tray closing on you.

It only runs on Basecamp (both app.basecamp.com and 3.basecamp.com) and only touches the tasks tray.

Stays open when you: click empty space outside the tray; click a task (in the same tab or, with Ctrl-click / ⌘-click, in a new tab); or navigate elsewhere, including opening a ping thread in the sidebar.

Closes when you: click the tray's Close (✕) button; click the My Tasks tab again (or press its T hotkey); press Escape; or open a different tray (only one tray stays open at a time).

List repos

I use this at EBW when I want to get a list of all of our repos for maintenance purposes.

To use this script:

1. Save it as get-repo-dates.js
2. Replace your_personal_access_token with your actual GitHub token
3. Run it with Node.js:

How to merge someone's fork of your gist into your gist

I created a gist, then someone else forked it and improved it. With a full repository, I might get their improvements in a pull request. But that isn't availabe for gists.

This is how to get their changes into my gist.

1. Clone your own gist
